I nodded and started making my way up the rocks to the top.

When I got to the parking lot, my cousin was leaning against a car with his sunglasses on, dressed like he was hoping to get undressed later. And not by his own hands.

“Come on, Sadface. I’m taking you to The Reef to put some food in you before we go to The Dive. We’ll apologize to your liver tomorrow.”

I laughed and followed him toward the best restaurant on the island. My cousin was never one to do anything by half measures.

It was a shame to have such delicious food when we knew we wouldn’t remember it tomorrow, or it would end up at the bottom of the trashcan, but it didn’t stop me from ordering the best steak on the menu and finishing my dinner with a chocolate mousse cake so delicious it should come with a warning for triggering orgasms.

The Dive was heaving, but somehow Gabe wove his way through the crowd to get to the bar and order our drinks while I scouted for a free table or just some space against a wall.

Considering how many people were in the small bar, we’d be lucky to find something to lean on.

A couple left just as I was going past, so I quickly grabbed their table. Next to us was another small table that had five guys sitting around it. There were so many empty glasses that you couldn’t see the tabletop.

One of the guys caught me staring. He smiled and leaned forward.

“You can join us if you want.”

I didn’t miss the look of appreciation in his green eyes. He was cute. Maybe a little younger than me, but not by much.

“I’m here with my cousin,” I said, pointing at the bar where Gabe was taking a tray from the bartender.

“If you change your mind…you’re welcome to join us.”

His smile as he turned back to his friends was a clear sign that he’d be up for sharing more than a drink.

I didn’t have time to think about how I felt before Gabe came over and placed a tray overflowing with drinks on the table.

“Fuck, Gabe. Forget apologizing to my liver tomorrow. I should book myself in for a transplant instead.”

He grinned and lined up the drinks in front of us.

“Okay, so we’re starting with some shots to warm up. We’ve got a white gummy bear, a kamikaze, a lemon drop, and a lemon ball.”

I shook my head but followed his lead as he downed the shots one by one.

By the time we switched to beer, I was feeling all warm and fuzzy, happy, and also a little horny. Something my neighbor from the other table didn’t seem to miss.

“I’ll be right back,” I said and got up to go to the restroom.

The floor seemed a little unstable. It had been a while since I’d been to The Dive, so maybe they’d had renovations.

Thank fuck for men’s big bladders because the restroom was more or less empty. I stared at the funny pattern on the tiles while I considered the benefits of peeing standing up versus sitting down.

I decided on standing up because who knew when these restrooms were last cleaned.

I bet they never lose their Lysol cans in this place.

An image of Griff’s brown eyes, the feel of his soft lips, and Mal’s commanding voice whispering in my ear filled my brain.

“Fuck, how can I pee with a fucking boner?”

“Want a hand?”

I looked up to see the guy from the other table. Somehow the fact he wasn’t Griff or Mal made my dick deflate enough I could finish and tuck myself away.

That pissed me off. Who the fuck did they think they were to come inside my head and mess up with me? I wanted to have a boner for the guy standing in front of me looking like he was ready to be dragged into one of the stalls for a quick fuck. I did not want a boner for the married couple I couldn’t have.
