“Shhh,” he says, his lips brushing the shell of my ear. “Keep facing the wall like a good girl while I explore what’s mine.”
Sara gasps, and her voice comes out soft and hoarse.
Yours?
I’m crazy about you, Sara. Even before I saw you here tonight. I want you to be mine, to worship and care for. Do you want that, babygirl?”
I don’t even hesitate because I’ve felt the same way for a while now. “Yes.”
“Say it. Tell me you’re mine.”
“I’m yours, Ian.”
Ian growls as his hands roam all over my body, gripping and squeezing. “Fuck, I’ve wanted you from the moment I saw you. You were all flushed after making yourself come in the bathroom, your nipples hard little peaks begging for my mouth. You have no idea the control it took not to drag you back in there and fuck you properly like you’d imagined.”
“Wait, what? Yousawme that day?” This time when I try to turn around in his arms, he doesn’t stop me. And when I get my first real look at him, my jaw drops. “Will?!”
“Surprise.” He says it tentatively, almost like he’s reconsidering that his plan might not be received the best.
“But… I…How?”
“I was enthralled with you, Sara, from the very beginning. There’s only one coffee shop in town that sells Linde cakes, and I couldn’t shake this need to see you. So, I decided to go and told myself it would be just that once. Obviously, I gave them a fake name when I ordered.”
“Holy shit. Youstalkedme.”
“No!” When I raise my eyebrows at him, a sheepish grin creeps onto his face. “Well, maybe a little. But listen, I never intended to interact with you. Then you bumped into me coming out of the bathroom, and the minute you spoke…Fuck, I was even more hooked. I couldn’t stop coming to see you.”
“I’m so confused. I don’t know whether to be happy that the two guys I had a thing for are the same person or be pissed as hell you deceived me like that. Why didn’t you just tell me?”
“Because you felt so strongly about not dating younger men. I didn’t want you to reject the idea of us before you got to know me.”
“You mean before I got addicted to you as Ian. You didn’t want me to know you werealsothe kid from the coffee shop.”
Ian’s eyes darken, and he seems to grow larger as he crowds me into the corner. Logic says I should at least be mildly concerned right now. But I’m not. If anything, the chemistry zinging between us is stronger than ever.
“I might be young, Sara, but I have never acted like a child with you. I’m still the same man who made you come from my written words alone. Imagine what I can do to you with my body. I’ll give you more orgasms than you ever thought possible.”
“Oh God.”
“No—and I told you this once before—it’s ‘Oh Ian.’ And that’s what you’ll be crying out in less than an hour when I’m inside you.”
“Ian, I don’t know. How can I trust you?”
“I’m sorry I was dishonest with you, babygirl. I’ll never lie to you again. I hated doing it, but I just couldn’t risk the truth. Damn it, Sara, I had to do everything I could to be with you.”
“But why me? Why not anyone else you sext with?”
“Because you’re the kind of woman who melts from my words one second then calls me out on using the word ‘ravish’ the next. I love your no-nonsense attitude as much as your playful side. You’re smart and beautiful, independent and driven. You’re the whole package, Sara. If you give me a chance, I’ll prove just how great we can be together. Please, baby.”
“No more lies? By omission or otherwise?”
“I swear to you, no more lies. All I want is to make you happy.”
I tilt my head to the side, considering Ian for a long moment while he waits for my verdict. But I don’t leave him on the chopping block for long. I let my instincts lead me and pull his head down for a kiss. And like the day before, Ian takes control and kisses me until my knees practically buckle.
When he finally lets me up for air, I smile up at him and wrap my arms around his neck. “Mission accomplished.”
“Oh yeah?” he says with an amused smirk. “And which mission is that?”
