Hands. Lips. Teeth. Water. Breath. We’re a fevered frenzy. Maybe it’s this place or the tension of going too many years without a proper fucking, but I am so out of my own head right now. All that insecurity from before has vanished.
“I need to taste you,” he says.
“Okay.” A thrill shoots up my spine and my body warms from the inside. I want it too, but logistically, I’m not sure what exactly he has in mind. I guess we could squish in the back seat of his truck.
“Here.” He turns his back to me. “Hold on to my shoulders.”
I do. While I don’t mind anything that involves my hands on his body, this isn’t the best position for what he promised. “Uh, you’re getting further away from my pussy.”
“Smartass.” He laughs, then straps something across his forehead. A beam of light spreads across the water as he pushes off the ground and swims us toward another part of the hot springs.
“Are you wearing a headlamp?” A laugh bursts from my lips.
“I am.” He chuckles.
“Should I ask where were you keeping that safe?” He was completely naked when he walked into the water.
“I had one around my wrist.” His powerful legs kick us further into the water.
“I’m not the best swimmer,” I remind him.
“I’ve got you. Trust me, okay?”
I do. I don’t know why or how it happened, but I trust Aiden won’t do anything to hurt me. At least not intentionally.
He paddles us a little further, moving toward a curve in the shoreline stacked with giant red rocks. I remember this spot. When we were younger, the guys dared each other to climb to the top and jump.
There used to be a split in the rocks, not more than five feet wide that opened to several small pools of water. It was the ideal make-out spot. It dawns on me that’s exactly where Aiden’s headed.
A few minutes later he stops swimming. “It’s shallow here.” Aiden slides an arm around my waist. “You can stand.”
“Okay.” I lower my feet.
“Careful. The rocks might be slippery.” Aiden holds out his hand for me to take. He doesn’t let me go as we walk out into the ankle-deep water.
I shiver as the night air hits my body. The stones and pebbles beneath my feet are smooth, but my feet ache and I lean into Aiden to keep myself steady.
The moon peeks from behind the clouds, bathing us in moonlight as we climb over a few rocks and into the smaller pool of chest-deep water. This area is protected by the giant rock formations, like a cave with no ceiling, and the air already feels warmer. I bend my knees and sink into the pool, submerging my head for a second before breaking the surface.
“Do you remember this place?” Aiden removes his headlamp and glances around, his arms wide and skimming the top of the water.
“Oh, yeah.” I meet his stare. “This was the first place you felt me up.”
He grins, and despite being almost forty, I see traces of the boy I used to know in the lines of his smile. “You looked so hot in that bathing suit.”
“Are you kidding?” I roll my eyes. “I hated that one piece. I wanted a bikini so badly that summer, but my mom wouldn’t let me.”
“Oh, my God.” Aiden laughs. “I remember. She didn’t want you giving boys the wrong idea.”
“Yeah.” I shake off that memory. I think she pushed purity culture because she was scared of me growing up too fast, or becoming a teen mom like herself. But I hated the shame that came with it. “It never seemed fair to have to cover my body, to protect someone else’s thoughts.”
“Well, even in that suit my thoughts were completely illicit, and the first time you let me touch your boobs, I almost came in my pants. True story.” He stares at the swell of my breast. “Those are dangerous weapons you’re walking around with, Sarah.”
“With great power comes great responsibility,” I flirt.
“Exactly.” Aiden narrows his gaze on my body, moving swiftly until we’re pressed against each other. His hands cup my jaw and his lips graze across mine, backing us up to the pile of rocks that separate this pool from the larger one. “Now, about that pussy.”
My legs squeeze together in anticipation. “Yeah?”
