“Did she tell you all of it?”

“Maybe she did, or perhaps she decided to keep some of it to herself. Or I’m not lying, and she kept it all to herself.” Savannah let out a sigh and crossed her arms over her chest.

“You are so frustrating, you know that, right?”

“Oh, I am completely aware of that.” She took out her phone from her pocket and tapped a few buttons. Coming into my office, she closed the door behind her and sat the phone on the desk between us. I could see Cash’s photo on her phone as she put it on loudspeaker.

“Sug, are you okay?”

“No, can you speak to Austin please?” He let out a sigh.

“What about?”

“He parked at the back today and came through my shop to his but won’t tell me if he knows what Ally knows.”

“Do you want to know what she knows?”

“No…”

“Then does it matter if they both know?”

“He is going to taunt me with it!” I snorted.

“If I was going to do that, then I would have done it by now. I haven’t said a word though!”

“You didn’t need to! The look you gave me when you walked in this morning, told me enough. That and you parked at the back. You haven’t done that since we started arguing.”

“Yes, and like I told you, I am extending my own olive branch. I can go back to parking in the front if you like.”

“That’s not what I mean, and you know it!”

“Kids, enough. Savannah, please calm down. If you get worked up, you will start to feel sick again. Austin, if you know, can you please put her out of her misery.”

“Fine, yes, I partially know. I know I am going to be an uncle. I just don’t know what you are having. She won’t tell me that.”

“Does this mean she is going to help us?”

“Yes, on two conditions. One, Cash needs to actually use his words and apologize to her. Two, you accept the fact that Ally and I are back together, and we hear no more about the past. After the apology for being a dick, we all move on and leave it behind us.” Savannah nodded at me, but we were quiet while we waited for Cash. With another sigh, he finally spoke.

“Fine, I will apologize.”

“Then she will have the cake ready at Ma and Pops this weekend and your secret is safe with us.”

“Great, can I get back to work now please?”

“Yes, I need to get back to Belle. See you at home later.”

“Look forward to it, Sug.” They hung up and Savannah put her phone back in her pocket.

“Do you actually think he will use his words?”

“No, he will find his own way to do it, like always.” She stood up and walked to the door, opening it again. “Can you tell Ally I said thank you?”

“If you aren’t going to cause drama, then you can go to her shop and thank her yourself.”

“Do you think she would want her parents there this weekend?”

“No. She hasn’t spoken to her mom since the day of her accident so if you want a peaceful day, I would leave them off the guest list. That needs time to heal, and Ally isn’t ready.” She nodded and stepped out, going back to her shop. That left me to get ready for my appointment.
