“I’m sorry to call you like this, Neil.”

“Is Belle okay? Please tell me she isn’t hurt!”

“No, Belle is fine. We need you to come to Georgia though and you can’t tell her that you are coming.”

“Okay, I will be on the first flight out.”

“Are you state side?”

“Yeah, just finishing up a contract in North Carolina. Please, you have to tell me what this is about.” I looked up to Felix and he nodded.

“There was an accident that happened here, and someone was killed. When first responders got to her, she said Belle’s name. We were out of town at the time, so we knew she didn’t have anything to do with it, but new developments may point that it has something to do with her.”

“No one knows she is there but us!”

“I think he may have found her, Neil and killed someone else to get to her like he did with Jake. We need you here before we talk about this with her. We will keep her safe until you get here.”

“I’m leaving my hotel now. I will call my jet on the road, I will be there in about an hour.”

“I’ll meet you at the airfield.” We said our goodbyes and hung up. Throwing my phone on the desk, I sat back in my chair. I needed to tell Beau to go and get her from the shop, but she would know something was up, then. I could see where Austin was today. He should have been next door while they worked on his shop some more.

“What are you thinking?”

“Which of my brothers can get to Belle the soonest without asking questions.”

“Where is she?”

“At the shop for now. She will be closing at five, then going home.”

“Is Beau home tonight or off while they change rotation?”

“I don’t remember. I know he is off for the weekend.” I ran my hands over my face and looked over at Felix. I can’t call him without him asking questions. I can’t ask Vannah or Belle for the same reasons. I can see if Austin would know.”

“Let’s just leave it for now. We can have a squad car go and watch the shop subtly until she leaves, then watch the house until we find out. She will be safe.” I let out a breath and nodded. I worked as long as I could, while I could, before getting Felix and going to meet Neil’s jet. We got him and his things and went back to the station. Apart from introductions, the trip was quiet. Getting him back to the station, we led him into Felix’s office where we had the footage that we needed him to see. He watched before his hand curled into a fist.

“Yeah, that’s him. Slimy, son of a bitch. How the fuck did he find her?!”

“We don’t really know anything right now. Do your people know how to find him?”

“They should have eyes on him and have told me when he stepped foot in Georgia let alone Harrison.” He pulled out his phone and tapped his thumb on it a few times before putting it to his ear. He was quiet for a few seconds before he finally spoke. “Where is he? Find him now. You have two minutes.” Things were silent until the person on the line spoke.

“Do we have a location?”

“He is in Alabama. They are keeping eyes on him and are going to tell me if he moves. If they don’t, they pay with their lives if he gets close to my daughter again.” It was Felix who spoke next.

“We are going to ignore that you said that.”

“Ignore it all you like, it was for them, not you.” Felix gave him a nod. “What do we say about why I am in town?”

“Well, that’s your call. We can either tell her the truth or just say you were in the area on business and decided to surprise her.”

“I don’t want her upset again. You saw how she was when she thought he was behind the fire. Tell her he is in the next state over and she is going to withdraw into herself.”

“Okay, go with your story of just visiting while Cash and I try and build a case. The minute he steps into Georgia, we will have a warrant out for his arrest and go to him.”

“Do we tell Beau?”

“That’s your call. Might be best not to for now. We need to get something more concrete though.” I nodded but stayed silent. I know I promised not to keep secrets from Vannah but the last thing she needed was stress. No, I had to keep this between the three of us. Just for now.
