“You’re so beautiful. So sexy,” he breathed against her temple, still staring at her reflection. For the first time, she believed it. Her hair was a tousled mess of curls around her head, her eyes limpid, her body flushed from his loving. “Look at you.”
When he gently pushed her forward until her forearms andchest rested against the smooth top of the dresser, her ass in the air, she went willingly. She rested her cheek against the coolness of the dresser, and shivered when his hands smoothed over her back. She felt him then, pressing against her, and she tilted her hips to grant him better access. The angle of her hips was perfect, he slid right in, all the way to the hilt. Jodi moaned into the dark, rolling her hips, taking him even further in.
He withdrew, almost to the tip, then slammed back in, nearly lifting her off her feet. She sobbed, “Yes, oh please.” He did it again, and again. The dresser rocked beneath her at the force of his thrusts. She gasped sharply when he reached up and curled his fingers into her hair, pulling tight until she raised her head, her eyes meeting his in the mirror once more. He truly was magnificent, she thought dazedly. This dark prince that had captured her heart and body and soul.
“Do not close your eyes until I tell you to.” The dark demand made her shiver. He rocked into her, his other hand creeping up to slide around her neck like a dark, forbidden necklace, squeezing just the slightest bit. It was the sexiest thing she’d ever seen, and as he continued to pump into her, she quickly hurtled toward that edge once again. Her legs ached as they began to shake anew. She knew that Free could feel it, feel her begin to tighten around his cock that was buried so deep inside her. She watched him in the mirror; his eyes were fierce, his jaw clenched tight, holding himself back with an iron will, waiting. Waiting for her. “Again, Jodi. I want my five.”
Jodi bit her lip until it was almost painful, her trembling fingers curling into fists where they rested against the dresser beneath her, no choice but to follow his dark command. Her body was already so sensitive, each nerve ending zinging with electricity. The fingers at her throat tightened marginally, and with that, she shattered. A raw cry fell from her lips as she came, harder than before, her entire body convulsing even as hecontinued to pound into her from behind. Her eyes slid shut and he pulled tight on the hair his fingers were still tangled in.
“Look,” Free snarled from behind her, and she opened them again, dazed and shaking as her climax continued to roll through her. “Count it, Jodi.”
“Five,” Jodi sobbed brokenly. “Please!”
His hands withdrew from around her throat and in her hair, settling on the meaty part of her hips. “Good girl,” he growled, and she purred at the approval. “Such a good fucking girl. So beautiful. So perfect for me.”
“Please, Free,” Jodi begged. “Please.”
Free smiled darkly at her through the mirror as he moved in and out of her. “I don’t want to stop because you feel so good, but I want to fuck you until I come.”
“Yes,” Jodi begged, unsure which she was begging for. “Please, Free.”
“Hold on, then, sweetheart,” he murmured and let go of the iron hold he’d had on his release. He pounded into her, again and again, then pulled out just in time, as he came to his own roaring climax moments later. “Fuuucck.”
Free curved his body over her back, resting against her for only a moment, before pressing a gentle kiss to the curve of her spine, even as their ragged breathing filled the room. He straightened, and when she made to stand, her legs gave out. He chuckled, scooping her into his arms effortlessly, padding over to the rumpled bed and lowering her down gently.
He tucked her under the covers, then slid beneath them beside her. Jodi felt weak, her body shaking still, as she rolled to curve her arm over his middle, resting her cheek against his broad chest. She could hear his heart hammering beneath her ear and smiled slightly, for she knew her own heart was doing the same in her chest. Free’s arm draped around her shoulders, pulling her more securely into him. Jodi yawned broadly.
“Did I hurt you? Was I too rough?” he asked gently.
Jodi shook her head, yawning again. “You could never hurt me. It was wonderful.”
Free pressed a kiss to her forehead, then rested his cheek against the top of her head as she snuggled into him. “So next time we’ll go for six?”
Jodi pinched the skin on his side and he yelped in surprise, then chuckled, as she whispered tiredly, “I’m going to need like a week to recover.” She yawned again and he smoothed a hand over her hair.
“Go to sleep,” he whispered, and it was mere heartbeats later that she did just that.
Chapter 40
The hall was cast in shadows and seemed to go on in either direction for an eternity. Closed doors lined each wall, and she walked for what felt like hours. Each door was locked. Panic was setting in as she tried every door she passed. Fear gripped her chest, making her throat feel tight, her breath coming fast and shallow. She walked faster and faster until she was running.
Finally, a light. Still too far away. Her lungs and legs burned from running.
The light slowly came closer, until she slowed to a walk, her chest heaving. A door was cracked open, and a sliver of pale light arced across the polished floor. The shadows seemed to encroach on that small sliver of light, as if trying to will the door to close before she could reach it.
Her breathing was ragged in the complete silence of the corridor. Muffled voices drifted from the room and she could make out a male and female tone, but couldn’t make out what was being said. The male voice was familiar, safe, and she knew she should recognize it, but couldn’t. The woman’s voice was unfamiliar, but soft, endearing. Her heart was thundering in her ears too loud for her to hear what those voices were saying.
She inched closer to the crack in the door, fearful that whoever was in there would hear her. Terrified of what she would find when she opened the door. But she needed to know who was in there, speaking so softly.
“You’re perfect for me, perfect. So beautiful…” the male voice whispered. “I’ve waited so long for you, for this…”
Her breathing hitched; she did know that voice. It was his. He had said those words to her, just hours ago. If she was out here, then who was he speaking to inside…?
She remained hidden out in the darkened hallway that still seemed to stretch interminably in either direction, those shadows licking at her as she got closer to the light, to the open door. Her heart continued to thunder, drowning out the woman’s response. When she couldn’t stand it any longer, she pushed the door open, those dark shadows curling around her feet, as if trying to pull her back even as she stepped inside.
Her eyes were drawn to a woman lying in a hospital bed, aglow in a small halo of light. The man was hidden in shadow, just beyond the circle of light.
The woman had vivid red hair and a beautiful, exotic face. In her arms she held a tiny, blanket wrapped bundle, and it moved.
