He grabbed water from the cooler and leaned against the wall, staring at the group. They reminded him of a bunch of wild, mangy, vicious dogs. The kind of dogs that would rip your balls off and your throat out at the same time just for fun, not even because they were hungry.

“You interested in a little fun tonight,” the newest sweetbutt asked as she walked over.

She was cute in her little cut-off shorts and long blond hair hanging over her shoulders. Jeremy couldn’t remember her name, but it didn’t really matter with this group. You could just point and yell, “hey you,” and the person you wanted would eventually respond.

“What do you have in mind?”

She stepped a little closer, and he could smell the hint of bonfire coming off of her. “Whatever you want. I’m game for anything,” she said, smiling.

How long since he’d been with an actual girl, not just his hand? Too long. A few months, anyway. His cock twitched at the idea of getting a decent blowy. Why should he continue to be celibate? What was the point?

“I think I could be talked into something,” he said, pushing away from the wall.

“Hey, GiGinny. Get your ass over here,” Judd yelled, and she looked over her shoulder. Ginny, that was her name. “Yeah, I’m talkin’ to you. You promised me a lap dance. Let’s go.”

Ginny turned back and shrugged. “Maybe next time, the number two is hollerin’.”

Of course, Judd was the one to cock block him again. It didn’t seem to matter who it was. The guy was in his way. He didn’t feel like hanging out with the group and decided to wander along the long building that led around back. Turning the corner, he spotted the black Hummer and looked over his shoulder. How the hell had Morry snuck back in without him seeing her?

Jeremy walked toward the Hummer parked by the small pond though he wasn’t sure why he bothered. Apparently, he liked being turned down cause he kept coming back for more. He stared at the windows, but there was no sign of movement. The license plate said Lady Luck, so it was Morry, but where was she?

Jeremy made his way around the front of the vehicle and jerked to a stop as he stared down at the top of Morry’s head. She was leaning against the front tire with a bottle of tequila already half gone.

“You should’ve fucked her,” she said and took another swig of the bottle.

Jeremy never saw her drink like this. He’d never seen her drink anything more than a beer. Seeing her like this wasn’t just shocking. It scared him. What was so terrible that it drove the strongest person he knew to want to get wasted?

He stepped over her outstretched legs and sat down beside her. “Which one?”

She squinted and covered her eyes to block out the sun as she looked at him. “Either, I guess.”

He shrugged. “I was tempted but decided I wasn’t interested,” he said flatly.

He left out the part where Judd ruined his one possible bit of fun. She took another swig, put the cap back on, and set it aside.

“Not going to offer me any,” he asked teasingly.

She glared at him from the corner of her eye, which made him smirk.

“You don’t want to touch this shit. It does nothing good for you.”

“Oh yeah? Then why are you drinking it?”

She was quiet for a long time, her face blank as she stared at the shimmering water. “To try to forget.”

“Is it working?”

“No, nothing works.”

“Then maybe you shouldn’t keep drinking it,” he said, and she snorted, her lips curling up in a small smile.

“How the tables have turned,” she mocked, but her voice was dry of all humor. Morry laid her hands in her lap and stared at her palms before she curled her hands into fists. “You know I want you to take over one day, right?”

Jeremy’s mouth fell open as Morry’s eyes slowly turned to his. “I’m sorry, what?”

She nodded and looked away again, her head resting on the tire.

“Yeah, I thought you would’ve picked up on that,” she ran her hand through her hair. “I don’t let just anyone in on the financials or the club and clinic.”
