Paul, can I tell you something? My dad died end of last year. He was in hospital but no one knew he would die right then. It took the nurses and doctors by surprise, let alone us. I was at the checkout in Sainsbury’s loading my groceries into a bag. I had a sudden feeling. Never had it before, not had it since. Like a wave of darkness descended over me and dropped through me. I didn’t know what it was, but it passed and I went home as normal.
When I got the phone call an hour later, I realised I’d had that feeling the very second he passed away.

Dear Oliver,
I am so sorry to hear about your father. Yes, that type of experience can occur when someone dies. It is the severance of their earthly connection to you. Birth and death are equally traumatic for the spirit, as it must cross a divide. Each spirit is pushed and pulled equally on either side to facilitate the exchange of energy. In the process our earthly connections may feel that exchange. I believe the feeling is particularly associated with heightened psychic sensibilities.
Your relationship with your father must have been very strong. It is always a difficult time. You have my deepest condolences.
Take care of yourself,
Paul

OK, stand down. And thanks for staying up/awake etc.
Ellie Cooper
Did you get what you wanted?
Amanda Bailey
No. They didn’t show. Either got cold feet or – I don’t know. I waited around in a pitch-black lane for thirty minutes. Nothing.
Ellie Cooper
Are you home now?
Amanda Bailey
Yes, just got back.
Ellie Cooper
Mand, they know where you live and they made sure your flat was empty for over an hour. With your devices inside.
