A shadow – Holly, the Baby in her arms – leaps up the spidery staircase, up and up, disappears into a second-floor doorway. Just as several DARK FORCES tear out of the building, look all around, split up, desperately search the car park.

INT. SECOND FLOOR, WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

Holly slips in, hurries to the BAGS she left earlier. She kneels, carefully lowers the Baby into a BAG, wraps and conceals it. Finally, her shaking hands fumble to retrieve the PHONE from the pocket where Ashleigh hid it for her. Trembling fingers stab 999.

EXT. WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

During the following V.O. Holly creeps to another exterior fire escape, edges slowly down it, until she finds a broken window where she can see into the basement.

OPERATOR (V.O.)

What’s your emergency, caller?

HOLLY (V.O.)

I’ve got a baby.

OPERATOR (V.O.)

You’ve had a baby? Is it breathing?

HOLLY (V.O.)

Yes.

OPERATOR (V.O.)

Are you on your own?

HOLLY (V.O.)

No. Dark forces are after it. The other angels are dead. It’s just me and the Baby.

OPERATOR (V.O.)

Where are you, caller?

HOLLY (V.O.)

The Assembly.

As Holly peers into the basement, she sees:

INT. BASEMENT, WAREHOUSE – NIGHT

Don Makepeace and the case of money are GONE. DARK FORCES work quickly in eerie silence. Michael’s body is now lain out, Christ-like, in the centre of the circle. A DARK FORCE straddles it, takes its dead hand, places a KNIFE in it and makes the corpse SLICE ITS OWN THROAT. Then, with studied precision rather than passion, the DARK FORCE slices thebody’s torso time and again, picks up ENTRAILS, arranges them carefully over the body. Another DARK FORCE drags ELEMIAH from the shadows. He too is made to CUT HIS OWN THROAT and is arranged precisely outside the circle as if by a deranged satanic serial killer.

Three DARK FORCES surround Gabriel’s body. JONAH, his face buried in Gabriel’s chest, clings with super-human force to the dead man. DARK FORCES try to prise him away. A DARK FORCE with a KNIFE waits, ready …

BANG! A door is slammed open.

The Dark Forces start in surprise, SCATTER to the shadows, watch and wait as … A TORCH BEAM cuts through the dark. A MAN (50s, SHORT, SHARP) strides in behind it, a large CAMERA round his neck. His torch beam sweeps the floor, searches.

Holly watches from her vantage point through the window.
