About good and evil.

Gabriel swings his legs over the side of the bed. Sits beside Holly. Sunlight touches them both.

GABRIEL

Can’t have one without the other.

HOLLY

Have you ever met a truly evil person?

GABRIEL

(thoughtful)

Truly evil? I have. Once.

HOLLY

How could you tell?

GABRIEL

It was in their eyes. They were afraid of me. Caused as much damage as they could.

HOLLY

What did you do?

Gabriel grins, winks.

GABRIEL

(whispers)

I got my revenge.

He pads from the room, leaving Holly on the edge of the bed, bathed in sunlight.

INT. LIVING ROOM/KITCHEN, FLAT – MORNING – LATER

Jonah feeds the Baby. Gabriel makes coffee, but Holly seems preoccupied, perched on a kitchen stool. Her toast untouched, she stares hard at a COIN on the counter.

HOLLY

Why can’t I move things with the power of my mind?

Gabriel bustles about the kitchen.

GABRIEL

Your mind is mortal. Superpowers not included.

HOLLY
