“Cole,” I cry out. My body is peaked, taut, ready to shatter with ecstasy.
“Baby, that’s it, let go.” He thrustshard, and my body quivers and shakes as I climax, falling into a world of blissand fulfillment. “Katie,” Cole cries out as he thrusts, his shaft pulsinginside me, and we fall together into love and contentment. Cole rolls, holdingme in his arms.
“What are you thinking about?” I glanceup at Cole from my spot on his chest.
“Isn’t that my line?”
“Usually, I’ve just never asked you whatyou thought, you know, after.”
Cole runs a hand through my hair. “No,after what?” His chest shakes with silent laughter.
I sit up, straddling him. “After we havemind blowing, passionate sex.” I wrinkle my nose with a smile, kissing hischin.
“Honestly, I’m usually just basking inthe feeling of being your lover. How amazing you are and how grateful I am foryou and wondering what you’re thinking.” Cole pulls me closer. I wrap my armsaround his neck, and he rubs my back lightly. “What are you thinking about?”
“Hmm, about the same as you. I’m excitedto go to Hawaii and then make a home for us in Las Vegas.”
“Are you still against buying a house?”
I wrinkle my forehead. “I want to sayyes, but I want to feel settled even if it’s only for a year. If you’re goingto sell your home in Malibu, then okay, let’s buy a house.”
Cole breathes out a sigh, tightening hisarms around me as he kisses the top of my head. “Thank you. That’s what I wantto do. I just don’t think we can do that if we keep living in the villa.”
“I agree.” Cole and I lay together inamiable silence.
“Stay here?” Cole pulls the covers overme, crawling out of bed.
“Where are you going?”
“Just wait?” I watch Cole pull on hisdress pants and stomp barefoot out of the bedroom. I curl up under blankets, letting out a sigh of pleasure. A few minutes later, I feel the bed dip andCole pulls the cover back. Under his arm, he’s got a bottle of wine, and in hishands he’s holding a gigantic piece of chocolate wedding cake. “Ready for roundtwo?” He cocks an eyebrow with a tooth-paste ad smile.
Light peeks through the blinds, illuminating the room with a soft glow. Cole and I are a tangle of body, limbs, and bed sheets. There’s no way for me to move without waking him up. The alarmclock reads just after eight. I can’t believe that I’m awake. I lost countafter round three, but I’m sure we made it to at least five or six until wecollapsed, utterly spent and exhausted, in each other’s arms.
Cole stirs, tightening his grip on me,running his nose along my neck. My body automatically responds to him and ashiver travels down my body, awakening my want. “Good morning,” I whisperhoarsely.
“Good morning, Cookie. Are you ready forround eight?”
“Round eight? Maybe, if you feed me morecake.”
He sits us up. “I think there’s leftoverfrosting still on my chest.” We both look down at his defined torso. A fewsmears of dried frosting streaked across it.
“That’s a start.” I stretch my limbs andwince from the soreness I feel, but it’s a good sore.
“Maybe we should start with a bath,” Colesays, kissing my shoulder.
“We can start with whatever you’d like.”
Cole pulls me so I’m lying on top of him.“Why do you say that?”
“Because, Mr. Hot Ferrari, today is thefirst day of the rest of our lives.”
“Oh Cookie, yes, it is, baby.” Cole rollsus and kisses me, signaling the start of round seven or eight, but really who’scounting because we have the rest of our lives.
