She turned to him, his face close to hers. She could see the swirls of light brown mixed in with green. They were gazing at her tenderly like she was spun gold.

"Yeah," she whispered. She was unsure if he could hear her against the gentle wind, but he smiled nonetheless, finding her answer in the small besotted smile she gave him.

His eyes moved to her lips, flaring as she unconsciously licked them. He leaned in an inch before stopping and flicking questioning eyes at her. She knew what he wanted but waited on bated breath for what he would do next.

He moved closer still until his lips were a hair breath away.

"Is this o-"

Before he could finish his question, Eden slammed her mouth against his. Jesus, that was some foreplay just for a kiss. She couldn't stand another moment of this sexual tension. She needed to release it somehow.

Barron groaned as his arm tightened around her, drawing her closer. She gripped the rail tightly with one hand as she moved her other onto his thigh. She felt his muscles tense under her palm. His leg hairs tickled her as she moved her hand slowly up his thigh, her pinky teasing the hem of his shorts.

Their mouths seamlessly moved against each other, and tongues plunged and danced as their kiss deepened and heated. He tasted sweet, like the cotton candy he had just devoured, mixed in with his unique taste that was familiar yet felt different and brand new. She moaned against his mouth as she sucked on his tongue briefly, her fingers digging into his hard thigh. A part of her wished it was digging into his back as he drilled into her.

She felt a vibration against her inner thigh, and for a split second, she wondered if his hands had found their way into her shorts. It wasn't until she heard a familiar musical tune that she realized what it was. She reluctantly tore her lips away and pulled back from him, breathing heavily. Barron's hair was windswept, his cheeks were flushed, and his mouth was wet and swollen. Something told her she looked pretty much the same.

"Sorry," she breathed as her phone's alarm started up again. Barron released his arm from around her shoulders and gripped the railings again.

"That's my ten-minute warning. I set it so we can make it back in time to watch Josh's performance."

Barron only nodded before shifting uncomfortably in his seat. She looked down at his lap and strangled a gasp as she realized exactly why he looked uneasy. Pretty hard to sit in a cramped space withthatbulging against your shorts.

"It'll go down in a minute," Barron's voice portrayed no embarrassment, just amusement at her bugged eye expression.

"I wasn't looking," she denied, her face heating as she pried her eyes away.

Barron just gave a snort of muffled laughter. "C'mon, the ride's going down. We'll head straight to Fren's."

Eden swayed as she listened to an acoustic version of one of The Living English's popular songs.

The crowd around them was equally enraptured. Their earlier hype over the announcement that Joshua Gates from The Living English was, in fact, their surprise guest performer had died down as they sank into a trance.

She mouthed along to the lyrics; a mournful tale of a love gone awry. Even though the song was sad, the way Josh wove his lyrics and melody never failed to produce goosebumps down her arm.

Eden felt warm arms encircle her waist from behind and a body press against her. She flushed in pleasure and immediately moved to clasp Barron's hands in front of her.

"Is this okay?" Barron's warm breath fluttered against her ear, causing a tingle from the top of her head and down her spine.

"Yeah," she whispered back, turning her head slightly to smile at him.

It was so okay.

She leaned her head back against his chest as they moved slowly together to the music. Right here, right now, all she felt was contentment. She put aside all worries regarding her tentative relationship with Barron, her trust issues, and the fact that she was leaving tomorrow and just…basked in the moment.

When the chords to his final song started playing, Eden patted Barron's hand.

"This is his last song. Let's go backstage. I wanna see him before he goes."

A pang of sadness hit her at the thought of saying bye to Josh. Despite the initial awkwardness of his confession, they fell back into their comfortable friendship. They were both determined not to let his...bombshell... ruin their relationship.

His tour was restarting again in a few weeks, so after his set, he was heading straight back to her house, where he had a transfer car booked to take him to the airport.

Josh had already come off stage when they made it through the crowd of people to the backstage area. She spied his dark head in the corner, taking pictures with the backstage hands and signing autographs.

She could see the exhaustion on his face and decided to save him from further small talk.

"Josh! Can we chat?" She called out. Relieved, he smiled apologies at the small crowd before making his way toward them.
