When London Fashion Week rolled around, Eden flew out alone. Barron wanted to fly out with her, but with her tightly packed schedule and industry meet and greets, it wouldn't have afforded them much time together.
Instead, he flew out a few days after Fashion Week ended, and they spent two magical weeks exploring parts of England. Barron was like a kid in a candy store, wanting to visit every tourist attraction he had seen in movies - Tower of London, London Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Houses of Parliament. He even dragged her to Kings Cross station so he could get a picture by Platform 9 3/4. His enthusiasm was contagious, and she found herself getting drawn in all over again with the magic of London.
The highlight of their vacation was the surprise two-day trip to Manchester she had secretly planned. Barron was a huge Manchester United fan, and when he found out that she booked them a stadium tour of Old Trafford, Manchester United's home grounds, she swore she saw a tear leak.
The night before they flew back home, Eden was cuddled up in Barron's arms. Today, they had a chilled-out day, grabbing London souvenirs for his parents and Bailey. She was pleased that she suggested he check in an almost empty suitcase because her boyfriend went a tad overboard with the gifts - and not just for his family.
He bought himself Manchester United t-shirts, shorts, pants, and various hats. He also got himself a Gryffindor hooded sweatshirt and a matching knitted cap after their Harry Potter Studio tour. She managed to talk him out of the matching scarf. After all, she had to be seen with him in public.
"I've had the best time with you," Barron told her as he tightened his arm around her and placed a reverent kiss on her head.
Eden hummed in agreement as she stroked his chest, content to lie in his arms.
"I'm not ready for the real world yet," he sighed. "How long will you be in New York?"
Eden stopped tracing patterns around his nipple. "Well...," she started as she sat up to stare down at him. He was adorably rumpled with his hair, all mused from their previous lovemaking.
"I have a few shoots coming up, one in New York and the other in Paris. But I was thinking...how would you feel if I base myself in New Haven and split my time between home and New York?"
Barron's eyes widened, and he sat up on his elbows. "Are you serious?"
"Yeah. My job is flexible, unlike yours. I just needed a home base to set myself up in, and New York was the best option. But New Haven is hardly far away, and I can get to any airport to fly internationally. It's not a big deal."
She gave him a teasing smirk. "We don't have to live together or anything if you want -"
"Just try and live anywhere else and see what happens."
Eden met his steely glare and stifled a giggle. He was so cute when he got all He-Man on her. She wasn't surprised by his reaction; they loved each other a lot and rarely wanted to be apart. She just loved riling him up sometimes.
"So it's settled," Eden smiled as she nuzzled her nose against his neck, delighting when she felt him shudder. "We're gonna be official roomies."
"Didn't fuck any of my roommates." Barron climbed on top of her, kissing her neck.
Eden closed her eyes in pleasure as she stroked the back of his head. She opened her legs to fit his frame between them before locking them around his hips.
Barron took her mouth in a searing kiss, stroking his tongue against hers as he positioned his hard cock against her soaked entrance.
"I love you so much, baby," he licked her mouth, swallowing her moan as he sunk into her heat.
"I love you, too," she gasped against his mouth.
And then all thought left her as Barron took her body once again to the heights of ecstasy. She was secure in the knowledge that she owned Barron's heart, trust, and loyalty, just as he owned hers.
Epilogue
18 Months Later
"Thankyousomuch,Richard," Eden smiled at her driver as he slammed his trunk closed.
"No problem, Miss Jamison. You have a good day." He held out his hand for a shake before waving her off.
Eden smiled as she wheeled her carry-on behind her, happy to be home finally. She took her phone out of her back pocket and frowned at the empty screen. She texted Barron while she was on the road that she was ten minutes away like he asked her to, but he was yet to respond. It didn't matter anymore since she was home now, butstill.Rude.
She was tired when she hopped on her flight, but now that she was home, she felt energized. Eden had been in Florida with her mom checking out the retirement village her grandparents had recently moved into. They were going to pick a nice but basic retirement community until she stepped in and paid the difference to get them into a more exclusive facility. Her grandparents helped raise her, so it wasn't good enough for Eden if they weren't getting waited on hand and foot.
The community was impressive, with a gym, tennis court, pool, five-star meals, and a first-class medical team. She wouldn't mind living there herself with the number of offered services.
But for now, Eden was more than content living with Barron in their little love nest - formerly his apartment. They did talk about eventually selling her apartment in New York and finding a house somewhere nearby but rural. Eden always pictured living in a cute farmhouse where she could tend to a proper garden and maybe have a few chickens for eggs. The plan was still a few years off, but that didn't stop Eden from continuously looking at real estate adverts. Barron always chastised her lightly when he caught her pouring over magazines and websites.
