BECAUSE YOU’RE HOME

I can’t help the flutters in my stomach as Lennox falls asleep on my chest. I’ve used various toys for work, and those devices have nothing on the way Lennox claimed my pussy. From his warmth and the after-effects of his wicked mouth, I feel the fatigue. Though, I don’t want to sleep. Lennox tightens his hold around my waist as he shifts, breathing out a deep breath of contentment, and I continue to run my fingers through his hair, swiping my thumb along his temple, enjoying this moment as his slight snoring returns.

“Thank you,” I whisper, my eyes brimming with tears. “For not giving up on me—for seeing me.”

My heart skips when he mumbles something between his deep breaths, unsure what he said, but I can’t help smiling. How much I like smiling with him, wanting to create new memories to laugh and hear that melody only we can make. I want all of him.

“Lex…” I rub his cheek when he doesn’t wake, entirely spent, and gently shake him. “Baby.”

“Hm?” he says, rousing awake, kissing my breast while maneuvering off me. “Am I hurting you?”

I stop him from leaving, the words wanting to spill out stuck on my tongue, and a burn creeps up my throat the longer I hold them in.Say it. Tell him you love him.

“No. Stay.”

He looks up at me, his gaze still heavy, and I keep massaging his scalp with my nails, holding him close, showing him instead since I can’t speak those three simple words. As if I’m incapable when I know I am. I know he loves me, that he’s already embraced each syllable and etched our names into his heart.

I glance down at him, still staring at me, now wide awake, and he shifts to rest on the pillow. “Hey, talk to me.”

Smiling, I snuggle into his chest. “Hi.”

“Are you hungry?”

“A little bit.”

Lennox lifts, bringing me to a seated position. “Let’s clean up, and I’ll make you dinner.”

It’s still early in the evening, and being with him feels like hours have passed. “Sure.”

He kisses my lips, and I squeak when he lifts me into his arms as if I weigh nothing, bringing me to his bathroom, only a few steps away. It’s much smaller than the main bathroom down the hall, with only the essentials. Still beautiful, with dark stone floors that extend up the left wall above the white sink and toilet. He places me down in front of the stand-in shower to our right, turns the water on, and grabs two fresh washcloths while waiting for the temperature to warm.

The space is barely spacious enough for him, let alone both of us, but I don’t mind being close as I step in after him. He takes up most of the water as it hits his throat, and I lean into the corner of the cool stone to watch the stream drizzle down his body. His hair sticks to the sides of his neck as he rubs water along his face and through his dark strands before he pours a heaping amount of body wash into a cloth to start thoroughly washing himself. I touch the bubbles along the sides of his stomach, and his abs draw in tight.

“Turn around,” he says, and I arch a brow.

I do, asking, “Why?”

A bottle clicks open again, and I take a deep breath soon after as a soft terry cloth glides up my back, releasing more of the sweet sandalwood scent into the air. He gathers my hair, rubbing the fabric across the nape of my neck, the soap foaming my shoulders, arms, breasts, and stomach. I giggle as he maneuvers around me, lowering to his knees to get every crevice of my legs, massaging my feet until he drops the cloth at my mound.

Never has a man thoroughly washed me before, Lennox being the first of many things. Grabbing more soap, he uses his hand to dip between my thighs and cheeks. Such intimate touch, yet they aren’t sexual as I lift my leg to his shoulder, him finishing the job. However, he stares at my pussy, so damn close, refraining from taking what he clearly wants, and knocks into the showerhead as he stands.

Inhaling a sharp breath through his teeth, he rubs his head, and I bite my lip, taking over soothing away his pain while trying to hold in my laughter. “Aw, come here.”

Lennox hums into my neck, holding my waist as I stroke the sore spot, goosebumps rising on my skin as my need to make him feel better gets stronger. How much I want to take care of him. I don’t want to leave our little bubble, wishing this moment could exist on a loop, just two people falling deep for one another.

Water trickles around his head, dripping to my face as he lifts to look at me, his heavy breaths rough against my mouth while whispering, “I love you so damn much that the thought of never meeting you hurts.”

My lip trembles as I pull myself closer. “I love you, Lex—” I cry, kissing him hard, and he breathes deeply through his nose, his hands gliding along my back and ass to draw me into his skin. “I love you.”

“Oh, baby,” he moans between our quick pecks, his voice laced with strain, his touch urgent, and it makes my chest tight as he pours his very being into me—every ounce of his love, and I return just as much.

We’re panting hard as our kiss breaks, Lennox holding my cheeks, kissing each one before closing his eyes and placing his forehead on mine, utterly content.

“I love this,” I say, and he looks at me.

“Hm?”

“Being here with you.”
