As if he had to ask. She pulled a hand out of the water and lightly gripped the back of his neck before dropping her head back onto his shoulder to look up at him. Pulling his head down, their lips crashed together, and he didn’t hold back.

The washcloth brushed at her clit a few times before he dropped it and moved his fingers into its place. His index and middle finger rolled over her before slipping further down and sinking into her. She groaned against his lips when he moved his other hand down, rolling over her clit with it as she wiggled beneath him.

His hardened cock pressed into her back and seemed to grow impossibly large with every move she made.

She broke away from his kiss. “Jace, please.”

“Please, what?”

“I want to feel you.” Her eyes rolled back, and a moan tore from her lips as his hands continued their sweet torture.

“Not right now. I want to take care of you.”

“But—”

He silenced her with his lips on hers. When he pulled back, he looked into her eyes.

“Please. Let me do this for you.”

There was a pleading in his voice that hit her right in the soul. Her being in the hospital had taken as much, if not more, of a toll on him as it did on her.

She nodded and leaned her head back against him as her hips moved in unison with his hand.

He dipped his head, and his lips found her neck again. She tilted her head to give him easier access as she writhed beneath his hands. Between his fingers and his lips, her body racked with pleasure as her orgasm pulsed through her. A cry tore from her lips, while he curled his fingers, hitting her sweet spot and uncoiling all pent-up stress. Her body clenched him and wave after wave of euphoria washed over her.

He dragged his hands away and pressed another kiss to the side of her head before wrapping his arms around her and holding her tightly against him.

“That was…” She let out a deep breath, her body still quaking. “That was amazing.”

He squeezed her lightly. “I can do that anytime you want.”

She giggled and tilted her head back to look up at him. “You better exercise those hands if you’re going to make that sort of promise.”

He laughed. “I’ll start right now.” His hands ventured toward her again, and she let out a low moan when he touched her sensitive clit. “This is going to be the best exercise I’ve ever done,” he whispered.

Maddie wokeup in Jace’s arms. After their bath, they ordered in Chinese food and relaxed on the couch in each other’s arms until it became too hard to stay awake. Then they retreated to the bedroom and fell fast asleep.

The clock showed it was around five p.m. They had napped for several hours, but it was something they both needed.

He still slept, and his face looked peaceful, and he still had his arms wrapped around her. She studied his face. Dark circles were beneath his eyes when he came into the hospital, and based on the comments he made, she knew everything that had happened to her and Kayla had affected him, too. Aside from it being close people he knew that had been attacked, he also had the bad press of it happening at his place of business—a business he had worked hard at making a success.

The circles had diminished significantly during their long nap, and she hoped hers looked better as well. She already felt much better than she had that morning. Despite everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours, it felt like several days had passed.

Jace’s arms flexed around her and his eyes fluttered open. She smiled up at him, and he pulled her closer.

“Hi,” she whispered.

“Hi.” He rested his chin on her head and yawned. “Oh man. I needed that.”

“Me too.”

“How long have you been awake?”

“Only a few minutes.” She pulled her lip between her teeth and sighed.

He leaned back and looked at her. “Are you okay?”
