She let out a cry as her body rocked with the orgasm. Her body clenched his fingers, and he waited for her to ride it out, his fingers still sliding in and out of her to help her along.

After several moments, he snagged a condom out of his nightstand and crawled back over her—purposefully pulling it slowly down his shaft to tease her. She watched him through hooded eyes, her tongue darting out to lick her lips.

Shifting to align himself with her, he never broke eye contact. Then he thrusted. She stretched her neck as if there was a force pushing at it. A low moan came from her lips as he filled her. Her hands gripped at his hips and she tugged to pull him deeper.

He gave a second hard thrust, and she cried out.

“Please. Keep going.”

He dropped his head to hers and kissed her lips, letting her taste herself on his lips while he pumped into her. Her legs wrapped around his waist and tugged him closer.

He pulled back. “Baby, I want you to come with me.”

She nodded and closed her eyes, and her hands dropped to the sheets, gripping at them to hold herself in place while their bodies moved together.

“You feel so good,” he said.

Her sweet sex clenched around him, making it harder for him to hold on, but he needed her to come with him. He needed to hear her call his name while her body clenched his as they both released.

“I’m getting close,” she said.

She opened her eyes and watched him, her lip pulling between her teeth as if she were hanging on by a thread. He gave two final thrusts as he groaned. Her body clenched his, and she cried out.

“Chase,” she moaned.

“Kailynn.”

Her legs tightly held him to her as they both rode out their orgasms. When they came to rest, he breathed heavily and leaned his forehead against hers, still connected and not ready to pull apart, his cock still twitching inside her.

“Good morning,” he whispered, laughing softly.

“It is a good morning, isn’t it?”

That was something he wouldn’t mind waking up to every morning. He rolled to the side and discarded the condom into a wastebasket before tugging her up against his chest. He wasn’t ready to let her go.

Kailynn looked down at the resume in her hands and then back up at the woman sitting in front of her. Madelyn Carter was a skinny, tall redhead with curly hair pinned to the side, accentuating her high cheekbones. Her green eyes were bright and interested in everything Kailynn had told her about the clothing company. Madelyn never once looked bored and, based on looks alone, she looked as if she belonged in a magazine. She certainly knew fashion, judging by the tailored business suit she wore with the red pumps.

“Honestly, Madelyn, I’m very impressed with your resume. You were living in New York working for a prestigious marketing company? What brought you over here?”

“I grew up in this area. It’s been several years since I’ve been back, but when I came back for some personal business, I realized how much I missed it. I went back to New York shortly after, quit my job, and moved home.” Madelyn brushed away at some invisible hair on her forehead. She sat rigid, like she was wearing a back brace and had never slouched a day in her life.

Kailynn pulled her lip between her teeth. She considered telling Madelyn right off the bat that she was hired, but hesitated. Shouldn’t she ask her more questions? Madelyn had been the best candidate she had seen so far—there was no denying that.

“What do you think you could bring to my small company?”

Madelyn didn’t miss a beat. “One of my jobs in New York was marketing clothing to different department stores in the New York area. Most of them were to upscale stores, but I’ve worked along all ranges of fashion. I know the ins and outs of the industry and could work to promote your products in any store you’d like to pursue, even in New York. I still have several contacts back there, if that’s what you’re looking for. But I’m confident I can create new contacts in this area if you’d like to stay local.”

Kailynn nodded. “You know, honestly, Madelyn, you’re hired. You’ve impressed me. I should probably ask more questions, but I don’t feel like I need to. Would you like to start Monday?”

Madelyn let out a sigh of relief, and she relaxed in her chair. “I would love that very much. Thank you!”

“I’m excited to work with you.” Kailynn stood up and offered her hand to Madelyn to shake. “You don’t need to dress up since it’s just us here. Casual clothing is fine.”

Madelyn nodded. “Can I ask that you call me Maddie? Madelyn is what my parents call me and my job in New York. They refused to call me Maddie since they said it wasn’t professional.” Her eyes widened at her own comment. “I mean, if you prefer to call me Madelyn, by all means, go ahead.”

Kailynn laughed and waved it off. “Maddie it is.”
