Chase and Kailynntook their time getting out of bed. When they finally got out of the shower, it was already past breakfast time in Derek’s house. Derek pulled the keys out of his pocket and tossed them to Chase.

Chase nodded a head toward Kailynn, having a silent conversation with his brother. “I think we’re going to go into town.”
Derek nodded in understanding. “Have fun.”
Kailynn walked back over to Chase, but not before she shared a smile with Derek. After they got into the truck and headed toward town, Chase glanced over at Kailynn.
