“When?” he asked.

“Soon! I promise, my king,” Valeri said.

“Just Dominic. You’re Gabriel’s mate after all,” Dominic said.

Valeri smiled a little shyly, but I loved it. She looked good enough to eat. I might just have a taste of her again after we had eaten some food.

“But you need to tell him.”

“Give them some time, Dominic!” Lara said.

“Damon lost her once. I know he will freak out when he can’t find her,” Dominic said.

“I will tell him … I just … I want some time,” Valeri said.

Dominic looked at her and sighed.

“I understand. Don’t think I don’t, but Damon needs to know. Even if you can’t tell him the truth, make sure he knows you are all right. You know your brother; he will create another search party.”

Valeri nodded and looked so sad and I turned to Dominic.

“She told you she will call him. Now let it go,” I said.

Dominic shook his head a little and looked at me annoyed, but he understood why I was acting like this. He would too if I was pressuring Lara too hard.

“So, what are your plans for tonight?” Lara asked.

Valeri and I looked at each other and we started to smile.

“Oh, you horny dogs!” Lara chuckled.

I turned to her and looked confused.

“What?! We didn’t say anything!”

“You didn’t have to. I could see it. I mean if Dominic and I weren’t here you would be fucking on this table,” she said.

Valeri gasped a little, but then started to laugh while looking down in a shy way. It was probably not a lie. We most likely would. We could barely keep our hands off each other. Even now, I was holding her hand under the table, and I could almost see myself sliding it up her leg and hopefully finding her wet for me already.

“Don’t know what you mean,” I lied.

Dominic and Lara just laughed, and I turned to Valeri who was smiling at me. Goddess, this was so great. This was how it should be every day. Just our family gathered here and having a great time. Me with my mate. Dominic with his and … Well, I hoped Ace would come around and join us again at the table, and maybe in the future he might find what he was searching for. What I couldn’t give him.

“So, other than that, what are you guys doing?”

I shrugged a little.

“We don’t really have many plans,” I said.

“Good, then I and Val can go shopping,” Lara said.

“Sorry?”

“Well, if she is going to live here, shouldn’t she have some clothes?” Lara asked.

“Well, I have clothes,” Valeri said.

“At home. Are you going home to get them?” Lara asked.
