He smiled such a charming smile and then leaned closer to me, kissing me slowly and making my damn toes curl.
“You taste good,” he whispered against my lips.
“I do?”
His eyes seemed to shine a little, and I was about to beg him to just take me back to his room, and make me his, but that was not what happened. Instead, he pulled back and smiled happily.
“What?” I asked.
“Eat up.”
I looked at him confused.
“I don’t understand. What is happening?” I asked.
“Eat up and let us get out of here.”
“Where are we going?” I asked.
“I’m teaching you how to drive.”
“What?!”
I felt my heart beating faster, both from excitement and a little bit of fear.
“But … But isn’t it still raining?”
“I’m sure it will stop soon. Don’t worry. We aren’t going far, just driving down the road. Unless you don’t want to?”
Did I … want to?
A big smile spread on my lips and I nodded.
“Let’s go!”
Gabriel chuckled, but then pointed to the food in front of me.
“When you’re done eating.”
“You hybrid males. So demanding,” I teased.
“I’m just looking out for my mate,” he said proudly, and I had felt so damn cared for.
I had never eaten so fast though, and it just seemed to amuse Gabriel. We quickly cleaned it all up afterwards and went outside, where the rain had almost stopped. Gabriel unlocked his car and held open the door to the driver’s seat for me.
“In you go,” he said.
I smiled at him and then got inside before he went to the passenger seat and got comfortable. I ran my hands over the wheel before turning to him.
“I’m nervous.”
“Don’t be. I got you, sweetheart.”
I felt my heart beating so damn fast every time he called me that. How could I even have doubted that we were mates?! I had never reacted to anyone like this.
“Okay, first you turn on the car,” he said and pointed to the button that would fire up the car.
I looked a bit nervously at him but then did as he told me. The car roared to life, and I smiled. This was so exciting.
