“What?”
“I never thought I got a chance to have a mate after everything,” she said.
I smiled down at her and placed my hands on the sides of her neck.
“Funny, I never thought I would get one either.”
She smiled at me.
“You have me now,” she said.
I nodded.
“And I am not fucking letting go.”
She pulled me down for a heated kiss, and I quickly responded. I wanted more of her, but I also knew she needed rest. We could always fuck again when we woke up.
“Good,” she said in between kisses. “Don’t ever let go.”
I smiled and just continued to kiss her before I picked her up and took her out of the shower. I quickly got her wrapped in a towel before I wrapped myself in one and then turned off the water, before taking her back to the bedroom.
We went into the bed naked, throwing the towels away, and Valeri quickly moved as close to me as she could get, resting her head on my shoulder and sighing so contently.
“I have never had such an amazing night,” she sighed.
I chuckled a little, feeling so happy.
“Me neither.”
“There is still so much I want to know about you though,” she said.
“I will tell you everything.”
“You promise?”
I nodded.
“I promise.”
And then she quickly fell asleep. Even though I stayed awake for a little longer, I was not far behind her, and soon fell into a deep sleep too.
Chapter 28
-Gabriel-
“Well, well, you guys look well-rested,” Lara said with a voice that made it quite clear she knew why.
I rolled my eyes but didn’t say anything, yet I couldn’t get the smile on my lips to go away. I pulled out a chair for Valeri, who sat down, before I sat down beside her, seeing her cheeks were rather red. I got a wild vixen when I was fucking her, but it was clear she turned shy when I wasn’t. When we woke up the next night, I licked her until she was screaming my name and then I fucked her before we showered and got dressed, and then came down here to eat a little, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the others had heard us. I didn’t care though. It just meant I had pleased my mate well. Ace wasn’t there though, and I wondered if I would ever see him again really.
“We slept well,” I said.
Dominic just chuckled and drank his coffee. He held onto Lara’s hand though. He could barely stand not touching her at all. I knew how that felt now. I always had a need to touch Valeri too, and I reached out, brushing some of her long dark hair behind her ear. She was so beautiful. I couldn’t believe I had been given such a beautiful mate. She was just perfect!
“Now am I going to have a call from Damon telling me his sister has disappeared again?” Dominic asked.
Everyone turned a little more serious then.
“She will tell him,” I said.
