“What?” I asked.

“Let us not think about it.”

“Tell me, or you might not ever touch me again,” I said, smiling in a teasing way.

“Oh, you can be cruel.”

“Very,” I said.

Chapter 26

-Valeri-

“Wait, so you and Ace?” I asked.

We were back in Gabriel’s bedroom just for some privacy, and he had told me what I wanted to know, yet I was surprised to hear it.

“How many times?”

“A few,” he said, looking at his hands in front of him, which were rubbing together.

“Wow …”

He nodded.

“Valeri, I’m sorry. The past I have … it’s messy,” he said and looked at me, and I could see in his eyes, he feared telling me this would scare me away.

Was I surprised? Of course! I had not expected to hear this, since Gabriel was known to be a womanizer, not someone who slept with guys, but it was clear from what he told me, it had only happened with Ace because they had felt lonely, both of them and they shared a deeper connection. I could understand that, as long as I was now the one, he wanted to be with and only me.

“Very,” I said.

He looked down again, and I felt bad seeing him like this. He was never the serious one. He was always the one joking around. I stood up from the couch I was sitting on in front of him and walked over to him. Gabriel looked up as I stood in front of him. I placed a hand on his shoulder, pushing him back a little, and he stared at me surprised as I went to straddle him again.

“What about me?” I asked.

“What?” he asked.

“Do you want me?”

He nodded.

“Of course.”

“I’m not a way to make Ace jealous?”

He shook his head.

“Never!”

“So, you only want me?” I asked.

He nodded like crazy, and I could see it in his eyes. There was only me now. We were mates and we were meant to be together.

“So, if I asked you to fuck me right now on this couch, would you do it?” I asked.
