Damon chuckled.
“Is that all you see in him?” he teased me.
I shook my head.
“No, but it is a bonus.”
We both laughed, and it finally felt like my brother and I were finding each other again. We had changed so much over the years, it was like we were drifting apart, but now it was like we were getting close again. Like the distance between us just disappeared.
“He is fine. I only punched him once.”
“Only once?!” I asked, surprised.
He nodded.
“I couldn’t really kill him considering he is the father.”
“Oh, Goddess … did you tell him?!” I asked.
“Yes.”
“Damon!”
“He is in,” he said.
“What?”
“He wants this child with you,” he told me.
I looked at my brother shocked but then narrowed my eyes a little.
“Did you threaten him?” I asked.
“What?!”
“Damon, tell me the truth!” I said.
Damon laughed a little, shaking his head.
“Of course not! I asked him if he was in or not, and he said he was in,” he told me.
“Really?!”
Damon nodded.
“I wanted to hear it from him,” he said. “I wanted the truth from him.”
“The truth?”
“He cares for you. Loves you I believe … in his own twisted way.”
I chuckled a little.
“So … you are giving us your blessing?” I asked.
Damon sighed, not looking very happy about this.
“Let us just say I will tolerate it. I want my sister to be happy.”
