Rogue divided up the small amount of items they could actually grab and then headed up to pack some of the girls’ things. He didn’t bother looking, just opened drawers and threw stuff in the duffle bag he found in the closet. He grabbed their pillows from their beds, along with a blanket each of them requested, and then stopped to grab the small notebooks under their mattresses. That request had been written with the warning that if he looked in them, they would chop off his nuts, but he had no interest in spying. The girls had enough of their privacy taken away from them and he wasn’t about to break that trust.
When he went into Scarlett’s room, he took a bit more care selecting things, smirking when he saw the sexy little pajama set she had taunted him with. He was going to enjoy tearing it off of her one of these nights. He didn’t bother glancing at her bras or underwear, figuring he would be ripping those off anyway, so what did it matter what she was wearing?
When he got to her nightstand, he grabbed the book she had asked for, and the tablet from the drawer. He stopped, though, when he saw the large dark pink vibrator sitting just underneath it. He smirked and threw that in her things too. He had uses for it, even if Scarlett didn’t know it yet.
Zipping up the bag, he headed back downstairs to find that the guys had loaded up the few things the girls had asked for. “Let’s go,” he said, glancing back over his shoulder before he closed the door behind him and locked it.
Depending on how things went, he wasn’t sure if the girls would be coming back here. If they didn’t kill each other, then maybe living together might be permanent. Only time would tell.
CHAPTERTWENTY-SEVEN
SCARLETT
She laughed at the disgust on the girls’ faces as Esme smirked at them. “Gross,” Wren shuddered. “I am never getting pregnant. Pickles and ketchup? That’s revolting.” Win nodded her agreement.
“Amen,” Karissa said firmly, glaring at her best friend.
Esme shrugged. “Babies want what they want. When I was pregnant, it’s what i wanted. Now, I can’t look at a pickle without feeling green.”
“I can’t look at chicken without running for a bathroom,” Royal said morosely as she rubbed a hand over her belly. A belly that looked far bigger than it should for only being five months along.
“I’ve been pretty good,” Harlow said happily. “I mostly just crave fast food and pasta, and thankfully Steel just nods and gets it for me. I’m going to weigh a thousand pounds by the time this little guy gets here.”
Scarlett listened to the women debate, and sighed softly to herself. She had been a bit nervous being here with them all, but they welcomed her with open arms, and helped her and the girls set up their lists, adding a few fun things on there to mess with Rogue. She was sure he was going to say something about that later, but she didn’t care. It was fun, and she already felt accepted by the women.
The girls were having a blast too. Well, up until Win made the mistake of asking Royal and Harlow how it felt to be pregnant, and now they had ended up here. If she had ever had to worry about the girls getting pregnant, she didn’t have to now. The horror on their faces was birth control itself.
“You have to be having twins,” Wren said, eyeing Royal’s belly.
Royal grinned wickedly. “I know I am, but Savage refuses to accept it. I also think we’re having girls, but the man won’t hear of it.”
“He knows that it’s the man’s sperm that determines the sex of the babies, right?” Win asked with a laugh. “So he only has himself to blame.”
“I want to see you end up with a pile of girls,” Harlow snickered.
“Hush,” Royal ordered with a laugh. “I’d like another little boy too one day, but I don’t think we’re getting that this round. We’ll find out soon though. I go for my ultrasound in two weeks and we’ll find out for sure then.” She glanced at Esme. “So you and Fury need to hurry up and make a baby so we have more of them running around.” She looked at Scarlett with a thoughtful gaze.
Scarlett held up her hands quickly. “Nope. No way. Don’t look at me. We’ve only been together for a day, and no babies are being made any time soon.”
“Thank God,” Wren said with a dramatic sigh of relief. “I don’t think I can take a grumpy version of Rogue.”
“Oh yeah, because he’s Sally Sunshine now,” Karissa snorted.
“What about you, Rissa?” Harlow asked sweetly. “You and Razor could have a couple right along with Esme and Fury.”
Karissa glared at her, all amusement gone. “When pigs fly,” she said flatly, grabbing her wine and taking a large gulp.
Harlow smirked, but no one pushed it. Scarlett had a feeling that Razor was a touchy subject, so she said nothing, sipping her own wine.
“I do think you and Rogue would have beautiful babies,” Esme said to her with a grin. “I mean, as long as they get your disposition and not his. Could you imagine if you had boys? They’d be all growly and grumpy and you’d want to throat punch them all the time.”
Scarlett laughed. “I don’t know about that. He’s growly, sure, but he’s also pretty sweet.”
Wren and Win snorted in derision. “It’s the sex haze,” Wren said with a sigh as she looked at the other laughing women. “He’s got her seeing through rose-colored glasses or something.”
“Good sex will do that,” Esme winked.
Scarlett felt her cheeks flush and quickly changed the subject. “Thank you for inviting us over, ladies.”
