Scarlett watched, body tense, as he made his way into the crowd, but she never lost sight of him. She stiffened even further when she realized that someone else came up to walk with him. Neither looked at the other, but there was no mistaking the way their steps fell in line, or the way they watched her and the girls leave with Rogue and the rest of the group.

She also didn’t miss the way the two looked at each other, even if only briefly, and the annoyance on their faces. They realized that it wasn’t going to be so easy to get to them. Now to figure out just how determined they were to get ahold of them.

“So we’ve figured out he had a partner,” Savage remarked. “Do you girls recognize the second person?”

Both girls shook their heads. Scarlett looked at him. There was something vaguely familiar about him, and she narrowed her eyes at the screen. “Can you play it again, but stop when he glances upwards?” she asked. Code nodded. When he paused the video she stepped forward to stare at the image.

The images in her mind’s eye were mostly fuzzy, but now, looking at the man on the screen, some started to become clearer. She stiffened as she realized who he was.

“Scarlett?” Rogue asked, and she could hear the concern in his voice.

Slowly she turned and met his gaze. She managed to keep from shaking, and kept her voice a hell of a lot calmer than she was feeling. “I remember him, and someone called him Club,” she explained.

“Club?” Code repeated, eyeing her as he typed away on his computer.

She nodded as she gave him a small, tight smile. “His favorite method of torture was to club the women with a big baton he liked to carry around. If you really pissed him off, well, he had creative ways to use it.”

No one said a word, but she saw from their angry faces that they knew exactly what she was implying. Rogue’s expression was murderous, and he reached out to pull her back into him. “You think you can find him?” he asked Code darkly.

Code continued to tap away and said, “Working on it. I’m going to run facial recognition and see what comes up.”

“There’s another person with them,” Wren suddenly announced.

Everyone looked at her in surprise. “Where?” Rogue asked, narrowing his eyes to look. Scarlett did the same, but saw nothing.

“Can you go back a few seconds?” Wren asked Code. He obliged and stopped when she indicated with a wave of her hand. Stepping forward, she pointed to a woman slightly behind the two men. “Her. She was watching us from another angle, and as soon as the men moved, so did she. And if you watch them leave, she’s right there with them, and that asshole Club even turns back and looks at her briefly.”

“Shit, you’re right,” Razor said in surprise. “Good eye,” he praised Wren.

“So we’re looking at a team here,” Savage said grimly. “A team means they’re not just looking for one person. They might even be here to snatch other victims. It could be a coincidence that they found you three.”

“He did look surprised when we looked at each other,” Scarlett agreed.

“You think there are more hanging around?” Rogue asked Savage.

Savage nodded. “These fuckers run in packs, so if there are three, there are probably more.” He looked around the room. “I’m calling Church in an hour. Rogue, you can show our new guests to the apartment.” With that, everyone dispersed.

“Let’s go,” Rogue said, turning and heading for the front door of the clubhouse. Scarlett looked at both girls and they rolled their eyes at her, but followed him out.

Rogue led them to the garage, around the side, and up a set up stairs to a large door. When they walked in, Scarlett was surprised to find that the apartment was pretty nice. The kitchen was smaller than the one at her place, but clean. The furniture was definitely geared towards men, being large, leather, and arranged around a very large flat screen TV, but still very clean.

“How many bathrooms are there?” Win asked as she stood in the middle in the living room.

“Two,” Rogue answered.

“Thank God,” Wren sighed in relief. “Sharing a bathroom is a pain in the ass.”

Rogue rolled his eyes. “You girls are going to have to share a room, and I’ll get another bed brought in today.”

“Not one of the ones from the clubhouse,” Win ordered with a wrinkle of her nose. “I don’t even want to think about what might be on one of those.”

Scarlett wrinkled her nose at the thought as well. Rogue huffed out a breath. “Yes, I’ll make sure it’s not from the clubhouse. Any other demands, princesses? A butler, maybe?”

Scarlett snorted, even as the girls glared at him. “Is it really wise to antagonize us? Seeing as we’re all going to be living together?” Wren asked him sweetly. “Or do you think that just because you’re some big, bad biker we won’t put you through your paces?”

He opened his mouth to retort, then snapped it shut. He looked at Scarlett and she could see the annoyance in his eyes. “I need to get back down and figure some shit out. You three make yourselves at home and make those lists for the prospects to get your stuff.”

“I really don’t like the idea of those kids going through my underwear drawer,” Scarlett said with a wince.
