“Now, how about you start talking and avoid all that fun?” Savage suggested conversationally.

“Fuck you,” Slicer hissed. “Do your worst. I’m not telling you shit.”

“That sounds like a line from a movie,” Jax drawled. “A really shitty one. I think you knocked a screw loose, Fury.”

“He didn’t have many to begin with,” Fury replied darkly.

Savage nodded at Steel. “Your turn.”

Steel’s expression didn’t change as he moved towards the table of instruments again. This time, he picked up a blow torch. Rogue saw a few of his brothers wince, and a couple turned green. Yeah, not many of them had the stomach for Steel’s version of fun. Ice looked excited, and Rogue figured that when this was over, one or more of the club girls were going to bear the brunt of his excitement.

“Wait!” Code’s voice rang out, bringing everyone to a stop. Rogue turned and saw him running into the room, laptop in hand. His eyes were wild, his hair a mess, and he looked like he hadn’t slept in days. “I know who it is,” Code panted as he slid to a stop by Savage and slightly in front of Rogue. “I know who bought the girls, and who tried to buy Scarlett. I also know who’s running this whole operation.”

“How’d you figure that out?”

“You gave me their phones, and I started digging,” Code answered.

“No!” Tanya screeched, jerking violently against her chains. “No, you don’t know anything.”

Everyone ignored her. Rogue watched Slicer. His gaze was defiant, but he also saw the panic underneath. He looked over at the still thrashing Tanya, who was screaming obscenities and vowing to kill them all. That was all the confirmation he needed to know that whatever Code had found, it was enough to make them panicked.

“Who?” he asked quietly, as he watched the two people hanging in their chains. He wanted to see their reactions. To know that it was the truth.

“The girls were bought by Elliott Austin,” Code replied grimly.

“The Attorney General?” Fury clarified. Code nodded. Rogue watched Tanya and saw the fury on her face.

“And Scarlett?” he asked quietly.

“I had to do some digging, but apparently Tanya hasn’t realized you shouldn’t leave a list of buyers and sellers on your cloud,” Code sneered, aiming it toward the hollering woman.

“Fuck you,” she screamed. “No, you’re wrong. It’s not them. It’s a list meant to trick you.”

Code rolled his eyes. “I’m a hacker, bitch, you think I can’t tell when you’re faking? I found the payments. For the girls from the Attorney General, and for Scarlett, from Maximo Bianchi.”

“The mafia leader in New York, right?” Savage asked.

Code nodded. “I found texts and emails from him to Tanya’s father. He was pissed and demanded more women after they lost Scarlett. Apparently he had a buyer in Italy all set up for her, but then lost out on the deal because of her escape. Elliott’s the one who insisted on finding the twins. He has a thing for young girls, up until the age of seventeen it seems,” he added in revulsion.

“You know who’s running things?” Savage asked.

“Tanya’s father runs the majority of the trafficking in this part of the state and out west, but he’s not the head. I’m still working on who that is, but I’ll hopefully have that figured out in the next few hours.”

“Good,” Savage said, pleased. He looked back at Slicer and Tanya. “Looks like we won’t be needing you two with this new information,” he told them with a smirk. He looked at Rogue. “They’re all yours, brother.”

“No, they’re not,” Scarlett’s voice said firmly behind them, making Rogue spin around in surprise.

He cursed when he realized that not only was Scarlett standing there, but so were the girls. And they were pissed.

CHAPTERFORTY-ONE

SCARLETT

She looked at the people hanging from the ceiling in chains. Two were already dead, including Club. She was almost sorry he was, because she had a few things to say to him, but from the look of him, he hadn’t died easily. And from the blood staining the floor and Rogue’s shirt, she had the feeling it was him that dealt the final blows.

She tried to shield the girls from this, but they had insisted on following her down. When she had woken up in the infirmary and saw the girls were already awake and whispering, she had been so relieved. They were alright. They were alive and safe. But then she saw their faces. Their anger and unhappiness. When she had asked them what was wrong, they had told her that they knew Rogue and the brothers were down here, without them. Denying them the closure they wanted.

That they needed.
