Rogue straddled his bike and said darkly, “I’ll think of something creative. ‘Bout time those two learned not to mess with me.”

Fury laughed, but the sound was quickly drowned out as Rogue started his bike and they roared out of the parking lot and back towards the clubhouse.

Rogue plotted as they drove. He wouldn’t hurt the girls in any way, but he would certainly be creative in making sure they thought twice about pulling that shit on him again.

CHAPTERTHIRTY-THREE

SCARLETT

Karissa laughed out loud and high-fived the twins. “My girls,” she preened proudly. “That is gold. I’ll be using that shit in the future.”

Both girls smirked, proud of themselves. Hell, Scarlett was a little impressed they thought of all that, and made it sound so believable. Still, she knew Rogue was pissed.

Esme, Royal, and Harlow all snickered. “I wonder if that shit would work on Fury?” she wondered aloud.

“Fury was with him, so I doubt it,” Scarlett answered.

Esme pouted. “Damn it. I wish he had called me instead of Rogue calling you. I would have kept it going for as long as I could.”

“You’d have gotten your ass spanked,” Karissa snickered.

Esme gave her a slow, wicked smile. “You make it sound like I wouldn’t enjoy that.”

“Young ears,” Scarlett said with a pointed nod of her head towards the disgusted looking teens.

“Whoops,” Esme said sheepishly. “Both of you pretend you didn’t hear that.”

“Yeah, just like we pretend Rogue isn’t doing the same shit to Scarlett,” Wren said sarcastically. “Noise cancelling headphones are great, but that doesn’t stop the knowledge of what they’re doing in there.”

Scarlett felt her face heat. “You know he’s pissed at you, right?” she said, quickly changing the subject.

“He’s not going to beat us,” Win said with a roll of her eyes. “He might try to ground us or something, but he’s not our father, just your boyfriend or whatever, so good luck making that stick.”

“He might not be able to, but I can,” she reminded her drily.

“Yeah, but you won’t because you know it’s funny,” Wren said with a knowing grin.

Scarlett smirked. “Yeah, that was pretty funny. Alright, but maybe don’t do too much else to piss him off, huh?”

“Where’s the fun in that?” Win snickered.

“You ladies sound like you’re getting up to trouble,” Razor said as he made his way towards their table. They were all sitting at the larger circular table in the common room of the clubhouse, but a few of the men were milling around, apparently waiting for Church to start.

Scarlett took in the way Karissa stiffened as he stepped behind her chair, putting his hands on the back of it and grinning at them all. “Of course not,” Royal answered with an easy smile. “What could we get up to just sitting around?”

“Well maybe not you,” Razor shrugged. “Being preggo, there’s not much trouble you and the other crazy one here can get into. But the rest of you are fair game. So what did you do?” He glanced at Karissa questioningly first.

“Why would you assume it was me?” Karissa snapped, glaring at him.

He gave her a droll look but didn’t answer. Instead he looked at the twins and asked, “What did you do to piss off Rogue now? Do I need to prepare to hide you when he comes in raging?” Wren and Win grinned at him and told him all about the prank. When they finished, he burst out laughing. “Holy shit, that’s hilarious,” he gasped out. “He’s going to be so pissed. I would pay to see the look on his face when he found out.”

“Code pulled up the video and showed it to us when he was on the phone with me,” Wren said giddily.

“Really?” Karissa and Esme both shouted at the same time. “We want to see it,” Karissa added.

Before anyone could answer, the roar of two motorcycles filled the clubhouse. Scarlett felt a wave of nerves fill her belly, and the girls’ eyes widened. As much as they liked to mess with Rogue, they knew that they were going to be dealing with a pissed off biker, and probably his brother as well. They exchanged a quick glance and then put on easy smiles.

“Shit’s about to get good,” Razor snickered as he backed away and moved to stand by the bar.
