“Our pleasure,” Esme said with a warm smile. “Us girls need to stick together or these guys will run us right over.”

“Or boss us to death,” Royal added with a nod. “Must be a biker thing, but they think they can just tell us what to do and we’ll do it, no questions asked.”

Esme snorted. “I made sure to clear that one up real quick.”

“You pointed a gun at him,” Karissa reminded her drily. “I think you made yourself perfectly clear.”

“I didn’t pull the trigger,” Esme defended. “Not like trigger-finger over there,” she said with a nod at Royal.

Scarlett stared at the other woman. “You shot at Savage?” she gasped.

Royal smiled slowly. “I told him not to come to the apartment, and he didn’t listen. I aimed high, so it didn’t hit him, but yeah, he wasn’t too happy about it.”

Scarlett looked at Harlow. “Did you shoot your man too?”

Harlow laughed. “No. I’m not allowed near guns. My aim is really bad.”

“She’d aim at his head and probably hit his right pinkie toe,” Royal snickered. Harlow flipped her off.

“I wonder what Rogue would do if you did that to him,” Win said thoughtfully, eyeing Scarlett.

“I don’t plan on finding out,” Scarlett said firmly. Though she had a feeling that he would not be very happy, and her ass would be very sore the next day.

“This is why the men lock up the guns when we’re all together,” Karissa snickered. “They worry that we’d get drunk and shoot one of them.”

The women laughed, and Scarlett glanced at her phone. She saw a missed text from Rogue and quickly opened it.

Rogue: Got your stuff and we’re on our way back.

Scarlett: Okay. Thanks, Rogue.

Rogue: I packed some clothes and a few other things for you.

Scarlett frowned. What did he mean by ‘other things’? The only things she asked for were her clothes, some toiletries, and her tablet.

Scarlett: What else did you grab?

Rogue: I’ll show you tonight.

“What’s up?” Esme asked, noting the look on her face.

“Rogue said he’s on his way back with our stuff and he grabbed clothes and a few other things. But he won’t tell me what he grabbed.”

The girls shared a look and then glanced at Wren and Win. “Anything you asked him to grab that might have been in a spot where you hid something?” Esme asked carefully.

“Like what—Oh,” she gasped, blinking as just what she was implying clicked into place. “Shit,” she muttered, typing furiously.

Scarlett: You did not go into my bedside drawer. Please tell me you didn’t.

Rogue: And if I did?

Scarlett: You’ll be sleeping at the clubhouse.

“What are you talking about?” Wren demanded suspiciously.

“Nothing,” Scarlett muttered, staring at her phone and waiting for Rogue to answer her. Of course he didn’t, and she silently cursed.Shit.

“Seriously, Scarlett, why are you blushing like a schoolgirl?” Win asked.
