“Better,” she told him, grabbing hold of his wrists and doing her best to suppress the smile that wanted to form on her lips.
“And the kisses are pretty damn amazing.”
“Now you’re talking,” she said, going up on her tiptoes.
He lowered his head, meeting her halfway, and kissed her right there in front of what seemed like the entire town of Fallport. If anyone didn’t know they were officially together before, they did now.
By the time he lifted his head from hers, they were both out of breath. “Damn, woman,” he complained.
“What is it about you that makes me feel this way?”
“As if you’ve known me for your entire life?”
“Yes, that,” she whispered.
“I don’t know, but I feel the same. Come on, let’s get you settled so I can feed you.”
Bristol loved the feel of his hand on her back as they headed to the table in front of the bakery. There were five people waiting in line, and more stopping to look over people’s shoulders to see what was so interesting.
“You hungry, Finley?” Rocky asked the other woman. “I’m going to grab Bristol a Sunny Side Up lunch box. You want one?”
“You don’t mind?” she asked.
“Not at all.”
“If it’s not too much trouble, then yes please.”
“Of course.” Rocky leaned down, kissed the top of Bristol’s head and said, “I’ll be right back.”
He walked away, and Finley fanned her face with her hand. “That kiss…whew!”
Bristol could only smile in return.
“I’ve sold three pairs of earrings for you already! I have a feeling we’re both going to be sold out sooner rather than later,” Finley told her.
“Good. Then we can relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.”
“Ha, right. I’ve got more cookies and stuff to bake if we’re going to make any sales later, when all the shops open again.”
“You work too hard,” Bristol told her.
“I’m thinking that’s the pot calling the kettle black. When you aren’t injured, I’m guessing you work long hours too.”
“Maybe,” Bristol admitted.
“These are beautiful!” a woman exclaimed as she picked up an earring and bracelet set. “How much?”
Bristol turned to the woman, feeling incredibly content. Fallport had grown on her as much as Rocky and his friends. Thinking about going back to Kingsport, to her lonely life, wasn’t appealing in the least. Would Rocky still approve of her relocating here if she brought it up already? Or would he think she was moving too fast?
Shrugging her thoughts aside, Bristol told herself she had plenty of time to make decisions about her future…later. Today was a day for fun, making money for a good cause, and laughing with new friends.

Lance Zaun watched Bristol from across the square. He’d bought a corndog and was absently eating it without really tasting the damn thing.
He’d touched her. Actually felt her soft skin against his own. All he could think about was doing it again.
She felt so right next to him. They fit together perfectly. Not only that, but she needed him. Where was that asshole when she’d almost face-planted in the middle of the street? Not with Bristol.
