He didn't and just continued back into the city, where he stopped at a very fancy hotel, throwing the keys to a valet before going to my side. I struggled against him, but he easily just threw me over his shoulder, carrying me inside, and as expected no one asked him any questions. Even the humans that stayed here turned their eyes away as if they knew he was not someone to fuck with if you valued your life. That was true, he wasn't, but it still hurt that no one was going to help me.

He went into an elevator, and I was pretty much starting to lose my motivation to fight. My fear was just growing and growing, and as he brought me to the suite that was his, and I saw the door close, I had a strange feeling that I would never escape. Then suddenly the world changed a little, and I was put down on my feet again. I looked up at him before he slowly walked past me and went to a small bar to get a drink. He then walked over to a big chair in the large seating area and sat down. He had brought me to a big living room. It was bigger than my entire house. My eyes scanned the place before going back to him, seeing him loosen his tie and unbutton the top buttons in his black shirt.

"Sit down," he said.

He gestured to the sofa just beside him. I knew I would only make it worse by defying him so carefully and slowly I walked over to the couch and sat down, but I sat down as far away from him as I could. That just made him smile a little, as he watched me with those dark eyes.

"So, little mate, why did you take all those things?" he asked.

There it was again ... mate ... Why was he calling me that?

Chapter 5

-Dominic-

She looked like a deer ready to run. Her body was all tense and she had placed herself as far away from me as she could. It was amusing to see, and I laughed a little at the sight. She was cautious this one, but of course, who wouldn't be in my presence? Everyone was always very alert around me. I was someone with power and to get on my bad side, was a very bad idea, while catching my interest was everyone's mission. Now this little half-blood had, and not just because she had stolen a lot from those upper-class people, that I didn't really give a shit about. No, I wanted to know what made my little mate steal. I wanted to know if she was in any kind of trouble or anything I should be concerned about.

"Well?" I asked.

"What?" she just sneered back.

I was amazed by the attitude she had in her voice and her defying behavior. Not many were able to talk to me in such a way, but for some reason, the little wolf had the ability to do it. Fascinating.

"You should think twice before speaking to me in such a way," I said darkly, yet I was not angry at all. No, she made this very interesting.

"Well, you kidnapped me," she said and crossed her arms. "I don't think I have to speak politely to you, despite your ... status."

A smart little wolf ...

I could hear my wolf purr inside of my head. He liked her defying energy as well and knew it would only make this so much more fun.

"Why did you steal all those things?" I just calmly repeated.

"That is none of your business," she said.

"It is now since I was the one catching you. Meaning I have to interrogate you," I said amused.

"Why don't you just hand me over to the Protectors? They are the ones handling things like theft and things like that," she said.

"I would rather do this personally," I said with an evil smile.

"Why?" she asked.

Half-bloods were all such a mystery, because of their mixed blood none of them shared any real similarities. Some got more wolf or vampire blood, some got less, and some fifty-fifty. Meaning you never knew how much of the supernatural part in them they could control. Most of those who were born with a little werewolf blood in them couldn't change. Very few had the ability. Unfortunately, it was life-threatening for them to do so because their healing abilities were slower, but it also meant there was no guarantee they felt the pull from the mating bond, and it seemed my little wolf did not, or maybe she just didn't know exactly what the feelings, I brought out in her were. I would just have to show her then.

"Come here," I said and waved her over.

"No."

"No?"

She nodded meeting my eyes shortly before looking away.

"Little wolf," I said in a warningly way.

I saw her shiver slightly from the echo in my voice.

"I don't repeat myself," I said.
