"Eh ... the others?" I asked, scared.
"Dominic has always been wanted, I needed to make sure I was the best candidate," she said.
"Eh ... what ... what does that mean?" I asked.
She leaned closer, placing a hand on the back of the chair, so she could lean even closer to me, and then she lowered her voice, while an evil grin appeared.
"It means those I couldn't bribe or threaten ... I removed," she told me honestly.
"You ... You what?!" I shouted.
She smiled even bigger, and then pushed away.
"Oh, don't worry, they were close to being insignificant, so no one would miss them," she told me.
"You said close to ... which means someone must miss them."
She just shrugged, as if it was no big deal. What on earth? Who was this sicko chick even? How could she just remove those who didn't want to stop pursuing Dominic? I mean, it was quite clear Dominic hadn't been interested in anyone else but me. At least he only wanted to make me his queen, but Arianna had still seen everyone else as her enemies.
This was sick ...
My stomach did a flip, and I wanted to throw up, but I swallowed hard, keeping it down, and doing my best to remain calm.
"A-Are you going to remove me too?" I asked.
She started to walk around in front of me, once again acting like she was thinking about it, but she was clearly just dragging this out.
"I don't know yet," she said and stopped to look at me.
"Y-You don't know?"
"No, it is all up to you."
"Me?!" I asked.
She nodded.
"I told you I am giving you a choice. Either you reject Dominic and leave him, or I kill you."
Those were my fucking choices?! Was she serious?
"Fuck no!" I shouted before I even thought about it.
Chapter 52
-Dominic-
I stormed into Arianna's home. I knew her family was still here, and now I was out for blood, so I didn't give a shit if I scared the servants or anything like that. I just needed to find Renly and wrap my hands around his neck, while I forced him to tell me where Lara was. My presence here was quickly noticed though, and Renly came out of his office, asking what was going on, but as soon as I saw him, I was on him in seconds, pressing him up against the wall and tightening my hands around his skinny little neck, while I growled at him deeply.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" I yelled.
His face was already red, and he was scratching my hands trying to make me let go.
"WHERE?!" I yelled.
I wasn't myself. My wolf was going crazy inside of me, so angry that someone had taken our mate, and he wanted revenge. He wanted to make everyone pay who had anything to do with her kidnapping and so did I.
"Dominic."
