"Fine, fine, I'll stop," he finally conceded. "But I think you kinda agree with me, then. A pleasing face and alluring body are nice to have, but it's not all good."

"Is this beauty fragility?" she asked.

His grin didn't waver. "Why don't I leave you to think it through? I'll go make us an early dinner."

"And another drink, please"

Chapter 9 - Pressure

Liam worked out after waking up, and spent the rest of the morning again teaching Ana how to swim safely in the ocean. He enjoyed helping her, seeing her growing comfort in the water, and catching glimpses of the stray drops running down her skin. He had to stop himself from studying the lines of her body too often, or how she moved. Even now, as they walked out of the ocean and onto the deck, his eyes kept wanting to trace the lush shape of her ass and those delicious, thick thighs of hers.

He tore his eyes away from her body for the hundredth time. He didn't feel bad about the growing lust in his blood— it made sense, there was plenty to enjoy in looking at Ana— but he didn't want to pay a lot of attention to it either. They were still getting to know each other and, whether they became friends or not after the filming was done, things would likely not go in a romantic direction for a long time… if ever. Many things would have to happen before anything like that could come to be. With that in mind, ogling just didn't feel right. Morally. Because his body certainly enjoyed it.

They went into the house and Liam opened the fridge, looking for food. "Want lunch? I can make something."

"Yes, please. Ugh, I'm so cold!"

He got sliced bread and the makings for a sandwich out of the fridge and put it all on the countertop next to it. He glanced at Ana, catching the moment she shivered. Noting the way it caused the flesh of her stomach and full breasts to jiggle.

Good God. Do not check if her nipples are hard.

He turned back to the fridge and took a controlled breath. He grabbed some mixed greens for a salad and by the time he turned back around, he was grateful to see she had wrapped a towel around herself.

Her phone lit up on the table between them. She reached out for it.

"Yes? Oh, hi, Diana." Ana sat on one of the table chairs. "I'm fine, thanks! What's up?"

Liam set up to make the food, pretending not to be listening.

"No, it should be fine. Everything is good," she continued, before a short silence filled the cabin. "Uhm… Yeah, sure. Of course."

She stood again and gave Liam a sheepish smile, pointing in the general direction of her room while mouthing,be right back.

He finished preparing the food and left it ready on the island, cleaning everything else up. Thinking that Ana would enjoy the sunny day, he moved plates and glasses outside. He had just returned to the kitchen when Ana came out of her room. Thankfully— regretfully— for the better, she'd put on a long shirt.

"C'mon, it's ready," he said, and she followed him out.

They sat and had a few bites and, by the time she gave him a third wary look, he was too curious to wait.

"Okay. Out with it," he said.

"What?"

He arched an eyebrow. "Looks like something happened in the call?"

She stared back at him, and let a quick puff of air out. "It's just that it's awkward."

"Is it something your agent said?"

"Yeah." She took a sip of water and, leaning against the chair, crossed her arms around her waist. "Diana had a few things she wanted to discuss with me."

"Such us? Or is it private? Sorry, it's just these looks you're giving me… but you don't have to tell me."

"I don't think it's private… she wanted me alone when discussing it but I think it was 'cause she wanted to give me time to digest things. She didn't say I couldn't talk to you about it… and, to be honest, even if she had I don't think I should keep you out of it."

"Is this something I'm going to have to discuss with Coulton?"

"I don't know. Maybe."
