“I know you must be very angry with me.”
“You had to protect our daughter and, from what I am told, raised her and protected her better than I ever could. How could I be angry with that, Valaris.” My name on his lips brought forth happy laughter, my breath catching in my chest as he embraced me. His hand held my head to his chest as I hugged him tightly, my knees feeling weak as I burst into tears.
“I did not know how much my heart was yearning for you, Paeris.” There is no lie told. My heart had yearned for him for many years, but our bond was poisoned in a way that it could never heal.
“My years have seemed so empty without you, my love, each passing moment feeling longer and longer. What made you come home to me? To bring our daughter home, why are you traveling with a filthy vile creature.” My heart sank. I knew his feelings for Orcs could not be swayed, at least not by me, but I hoped Aylin could show her father that she was safe, protected, and cared for with Daegon.
“His name is Chief Daegon of the Ironshield Clan, and he is our daughter’s chosen mate.”
DAEGON
Aylin held tight to my arm as we entered the palace. The air was cold as it stung my exposed skin, my arm going around Aylin’s small shoulders as I pulled her close. Steam rose from my flesh as my eyes scanned those around us, their hateful gazes making my stomach sink as I feared war. Many centuries ago, my ancestors were mere servants to these Elves and victims of their cruelty and malice. The elves of this Kingdom thought themselves above all creatures of this world, but they were not better than the horse dung that gets stuck to my boots.
“Your mother and father have requested not to be disturbed for the rest of the day; your father offers apologies. I can show you to your rooms and then to the bathing room, for I assume you will want to be washed and bathed for dinner.” The guard said as I pulled her closer, his gaze making my blood boil as I could feel their viscera in their gaze. Orcs and Elves had long since hated one another centuries before and had created a pack; to stay out of their respective Kingdoms. The elves knew that we could trounce them in battle, and they were forbidden from using their dark magic against us.
“Do not be afraid, my beloved. I will not let you out of my sight,” I whispered as we followed the guard through the large, beautiful palace. I knew it was beautiful due to the old stories my mother told me as a child, but I had no idea it would be so glorious. The palace carved into the giant mountain was a catacomb of long winding halls and stairs. It would take months to explore it all.
“I wish to stay with Daegon,” Aylin said as the guard took her to her room, a smile on my face and my heart filled with joy. I feared, however, that left alone with her, I would be unable to keep my mouth or hands off her. I wanted more than anything to taste her cunt, to feel her sweet arousal as it dripped down my chin. I wanted to hear my voice called out in pleasure, and I greatly desired to claim her with my cock.
“I am sorry, but your father would disapprove of such things. If it appeases you, Lady Aylin, his room is right there.” The guard said as he pointed to the door across the long cold hallway, my gaze stern as I felt unwelcomed and uneasy being away from Aylin. They would not hurt her but looked at me with pure hatred.
“No. I will stay with Aylin, and if your King wishes to speak with me, he shall know where to find me.” I growled as I pushed open the door and motioned for Aylin to enter. “Do not think for a moment that I will let my guard down, Elf.” I hissed as the guard turned his nose into the air and left, his footsteps quiet on the ice floor.
“I see now why you were so hesitant to come. I am sorry the Elves look down on you, Daegon. Aylin removed her cloak and wet shoes as I placed my sheathed dagger on the large bed at the center of the large room, a smirk on my face as I looked over my shoulder at Aylin.
“Orcs are nothing but enslaved people in the eyes of the Elves of Oryndaas. I am the first Orc to have traveled into this Kingdom in many years. Fret not, my sweet—I will not let them harm me. Come, sit on my lap.” I whispered as I tapped on my leg when I sat down. Then, with my hands on her waist, I gently lifted her into my lap, her hands warm as she ran them under my tunic.
“Are you scared to touch me, Daegon?”
“I do not want to frighten you, my love. You still look upon me with fear in your eyes, a fear that is just because I am much larger than you. You are free to touch me, however.” Her fingers undid the ties of my tunic, my cock growing hard as she pushed the leather aside and ran her hands over my skin.
“You do not frighten me, Daegon, only the size of your—cock. In the markets, I have heard women brag about how large their lovers are, but once I heard a woman speak of the pain.” I shivered as Aylin placed her lips on her chest, my hand grabbing at the fabric of her skirt so hard I ripped it exposing her thigh.
“Forgive me, my sweet.”
“Touch me, Daegon. Please. My body is craving your touch” Her words were desperate and filled with lust, the ache and desire only going to worsen the longer we waited to consummate our union.
“Take my hand and place it where you want to be touched.” I gently pecked her lips as her trembling hand took mine and placed it under her torn skirt on her cunt. “You are dripping with arousal, my sweet Aylin. Is this what you want? Is this what you are craving?” I ran my finger along her moist folds, her sweet moans filling the air around us.
“How can anything feel so wonderful.” Aylin nuzzled her face in the crook of my neck as I gently pressed my finger at her opening. A knocking tainted the moment. My teeth bared as Aylin groaned in displeasure.
“Do not worry, my love. We have plenty of time to please each other.”
LATER THAT NIGHT
I ran my hands over the tunic gifted me, the dark blue color, unlike anything I had ever seen. My hair was brushed and braided, and my feathers, bones, and jewels were left alone. When I returned from the bathing room, I had hoped for more alone with Aylin, but several handmaidens had whisked her away before I could speak with her.
The door opening caught my attention as I reached for my dagger. My fears eased as Aylin stepped into the room. “My beloved—you look so beautiful,” I said as I embraced her, her hand cupping her face as her smile warmed my heart. Her hair had been washed, brushed, and now laid perfectly around her shoulders, and her once-tattered gown was replaced by a long flowing blue dress and a tight corset that held the sigil of the King.
She let out a soft moan as I kissed her lips, my arms wrapped around her waist as I lifted her from the floor. “They are waiting for us, Daegon.” She whispered as she broke the kiss, my brow furrowing as I desperately craved more of her touch.
“Forgive me, I enjoy kissing your lips, my sweet.”
“I was worried you loathed it. Each time we kissed, you started to kiss my neck—do my lips taste bitter?” I held back my laughter as I gently set her down, my hands cupping her perfect face once again as I leaned over to kiss her tenderly.
“I adore kissing you, my love, but I also wish to taste every inch of you. I certainly cannot do that if I am only kissing your lips. When we have a moment alone tonight, if you will allow me, it is my wish to taste more of you.” I lowered to my knees as she hungrily kissed me, an uneasy feeling washing over me as I suddenly felt my life was in danger. I shook those thoughts from my head and enjoyed the stolen moment with Aylin.
