Fatou said her goodbyes to the Queen and others, even to Zoe and his drummers.
The King was not present, but I believed Raphael’s prophecy.
One day there would be love and forgiveness between them.
But until that day, our destines resided in Crystal Lake.
We found a home in that small town surrounded by mountains and magical creatures.
The werewolf pack didn’t bother us, but I knew the day would come when we would all have to unite against darkness.
Did they know this too? Could they sense the danger lurking within the shadows?
I waited and waited for a sign from God or a signal from Raphael to trigger whatever destiny was required, but nothing came. And when the angel did arrive, it was always laughter and riddles.
We created a lovely life in the town of Crystal Lake.
We had a small wedding with new human friends, a happy Jade, and a too loudly giggling Raphael—who had to create an illusion on his back to hide his wings.
Still, the human women swarmed around the angel, never knowing why they were so attracted, just unable to help themselves.
Fatou and I danced all night, and I knew I was the luckiest creature on the planet.
Months later, Fatou’s belly swelled with triplets.
As they grew within her, I sensed the greatness of the triplets’ magic and the swirling darkness within them too.
It made me nervous.
Were they also part of God’s destiny too?
I did my best not to worry.
More amazingly joyful months passed.
And my faith in God rose stronger.
A constant hope filled my heart.
Eventually, I learned how to call those wings again and fly with them, carrying Fatou with me to soar over the mountains.
Fatou had healed my soul and thus turned into my forever, my constant love, my happily ever after.
