Chapter 9

The Nightmare

Fatou

Unsure of what Azar would do to me, I sat on the silver table of ornately carved images of animals in the midst of sex.

Ferkos flicked his hand. The three chairs disappeared as well as the black tray of heart-shaped fruit, the tea pot, and three cups.

“This better be interesting, Azar.” A devilish smile spread across Ferkos’s face. “I can’t wait to see her experience one ofyourorgasms. I’m intrigued by the taste.”

Azar rose and towered over me. “I have only one question, dear friend.”

Ferkos turned to him. “Yes?”

“How many times do you want her to cum?”

The enchanted forest responded with delight. The white birds silenced their chirping. The black trees leaned toward our direction as if needing to get a better view. The deep crimson red leaves fluttered and some trickled down onto the table like they yearned to touch me.

“My birthday is coming up.” A dark chuckle left Ferkos. “I will be two hundred years old. Perhaps, you can make her cum that many times.”

Azar frowned at Ferkos. “With that number, I would need you to allow me to siphon lust from your club.”

Ferkos’s smile left his face. “Fifty percent of this club’s lust belongs to me. That is the rule in the blood contracts before entering membership, no one else eats as much as me—”

“Now look at who is not sharing.”

Ferkos eyed him with suspicion. “You needmylust to make her orgasm. That does not sound like the Azar that I know.”

“Correction.” Azar came closer to the table and ran his gaze over my body. “I need your lust to give her two hundred orgasms.”

“Hmmm.” Ferkos crossed his arms over his chest and then touched his chin.

A boom sounded from the door we’d walked through.

I jumped a little.

“I will be back.” Ferkos walked away.

With each step, the forest transformed. A salty scent permeated the air. The mirrored walls and ceiling vanished.

Then, the deep crimson red leaves lightened to white. The black bark of the trees turned lavender.

The birds’ feathers slowly grew longer as if an invisible hand was pulling them. Their bodies enlarged, the muscles and bones stretching to accommodate the new growth. Bright colors bled through their white feathers, turning the birds blushing pink and passionate purple, bright yellow and vibrant green, making them all appear like they had been dipped in a rainbow.

The dark dirt on the ground shifted to powder white sand. Starfish and tiny seashells scattered across the sand. And a turquoise ocean was several feet away from us. An orange sun beamed down on us, hot and welcoming.

Why is he so powerful?

My heart boomed in my ears as I saw that there were no walls. This odd-looking beach was never-ending. The water went out for miles and miles. And in the other direction, the powdery white sand continued.

There was only that door standing in the middle of the beach and looking completely out of place.

It opened.

Ferkos walked through it.

The door closed softly behind him, leaving us with the soothing sound of turquoise waves crashing against the powdery white shore.
