“Yes.” Remy kept us in the air and continued to push into me. “Just let go.”

he castle vanished.
We were above ground, but I couldn’t figure out where. Snow fell around us, but I remained warm next to him. The image of Remy making love to me flickered in the back of my mind. It ran in black and white like a film on a rusty, old projector, buzzing and playing in front of me.
“What are you thinking about, my little ice queen?”
With those sparkling eyes, the perfection of his body, and this surreal moment, my mind fogged in a horny, crazy haze.
“I’m thinking about everything.”
“You should think of nothing.” Remy released me.
“What now?”
He propped himself up on one elbow and gazed down at me. “At night, you should never cry yourself to sleep again.”
Shock hit me. “You watch me?”
“Yes.”
“When I’m in my bedroom?”
“Yes.” He ran his fingers through my curls. “I watch you through the window. Does that scare you?”
“No. I guess.” I snuggled closer.
“Why do you cry so much?”
“Sometimes I feel alone, especially when my girls are gone.”
“You’ll never have to worry about that again.” He let go of my hair and drew circles on my arm. “I watch over you. I make sure no one enters the house.”
The sky brightened. Gold rays crept along the horizon. Time had moved too fast. We’d spent the whole night making love. There were still thousands of questions I wanted to ask.
Remy looked up at the sky and sighed. “I will see you again.”
I shook my head and held him closer. “Don’t go. Maybe I can put you in my freezer.”
Was that politically correct?
He smiled. “It wasn’t the cold that kept me alive. It was the earth magic balancing with the universe and that powerful bag around your neck.”
“When will I see you again?”
“That I can’t tell you.” He looked away. “There are other elements in play.”
“Like what?”
“Other things.”
“What aren’t you saying?”
