When we stepped into the enormous doors leading to the back of Abott Manor, Saint squeezed my hand just a little bitharder. We made a left toward Gabe's office and found it crowded with the people I'd started to look on as my new family. Saffron was there, Lachlan, Gabe, obviously, and Gemma too.

"Gems, what are you doing here?"

"Relax, no one's ever going to make me a badass hand-to-hand combat person. But apparently, if you're going to learn to be a badass, it's going to require some new security protocols for me."

"Oh, I wish I’d known you were coming. We couldhave come here together."

"Nah, it's cool. James picked me up."

Gemma winked at me, and all I could do was shake my head. Same old Gemma.

Gabe indicated one of the seats directly across the desk from him for me to sit down. I started to move, but Saint stopped me. I lifted a brow at him. With a sigh, he walked toward it and pulled out the chair for me a little, and then I sat.

He took the seat next to me. Lachlan and Saff joined Gemma on the couch. I couldn’t help a flush as I thought about the things I’d done last time I was on this couch.

“Okay, as much as I love to see everyone, what's all the drama about?"

Gabe cocked his head. "For starters, you opened the damn box."

"I did."

Gabe lifted a brow. "All right, do you know how you did it?"

"Honestly, I couldn't tell you. Finger placement, and then I was humming to it, a lullaby from my childhood."

"Can you do it again?"

"I can try, but we probably want to take all the diamonds out of it first just in case."

Gabe handed me a pouch to put the stones in, and I reengaged the locking mechanism. Then I held the box and met Saint’s eyes as I hummed the lullaby. When the latch gave way, just like the last time, I used my key to open it.

"Your mother was clever."

"Yeah, she was." I turned to Saff. "I didn't know she was a Raven. I didn't understand any of it until Igno told me. Do you have any paperwork on the Ravens? I'd like to read more about it."

Saff nodded. "Of course. They were pretty badass chicks.”

“Not that I have big shoes to fill."

Saff just grinned and looked at me. "I think you're going to be just fine."

Gabe studied me. "So, what are you going to do with the diamonds?"

"I don't want them."

Saint muttered, "And she doesn't need them either. We're still getting married."

Gabe lifted a brow. "Oh, I wasn't aware."

"Yes, my brother and sister and I will split our company voting shares. I'm willing to give the lion's share to them. And while we split the day-to-day duties, they'll be the ones really running All Saints Tech. That way I can focus more on Rogues."

Gabe nodded. "Excellent decision."

"While she's training, I'm going to be here."

I rolled my eyes. "I appreciate the loyalty, but you don't need to do that."

"Yes, I do."
