Max’s teeth sink into his lower lip as his lips curve into a smile. “So, what? Are we literally walking you out of the closet right now?”
My gaze darts to his. “Oh. Uh...” My brain scrambles at the thought of it.
A snort of laughter gets my attention. Max pats my arm before he pulls his pants up and tucks his shirt in. “Dude, you should see your face. I’m kidding. I thought maybe it would be smart to talk to our friends and your brother first. You know we already have the girls’ support, so I think we’ll have some help. And then...”
My eyes light with hope. “Then we’ll figure it out from there. Together.”
Max tugs me close to him, brushing a kiss over my lips. “Together.”
My phone vibrates in my pocket a few times, signaling some incoming texts. “Sorry. Let me see who that is. Lyla might need a ride this afternoon.” Still holding onto Max tightly, I withdraw my phone from my pocket and thumb open my texts. I don’t get past the first two, and unfortunately, Max is reading every word right along with me.
Aubrey:Griff? I need to talk to you.
Aubrey:I’m pregnant.
