He holds me tightly, rocking me slowly against his body, neither one of us willing to let the other go. Not even at the conclusion of our perfect love song.
Having divested Vanna of her wedding dress, the two of us now wearing only our rings, I lay my wife down upon our bed, and stand to admire her bare curves in the pale glow of the moonlight emanating through the curtains.
“Come to me.” She beckons softly, hand outreached.
I take my place by her side, propping myself up on an elbow to gaze down at her. My other hand lightly skims the length of her body, until my fingers come to rest upon the scar across her lower belly. She doesn’t push my touch away.
“Vanna Keegan…” I say on a sigh. “A more beautiful name has never been spoken.”
“I think you might be a little bit biased, Mr. Keegan.” She giggles. Of course, she does.
Her left hand drifts slowly down her figure, drawing my gaze to follow the sensual motion. Her soft skin looks ethereal, bathed in the moonlight. I watch as she places her hand over mine, slipping her ring finger between my fingers, so that our wedding bands touch.
“We made it.” She says, staring down at our rings for a moment, before she lays her head back down to peer up at me. “After everything we’ve overcome… This really is the beginning of our Happily Ever After, isn’t it? Our forever…”
I gently brush the little tear rolling down her cheek away with my thumb. “It sure is, Love.” I promise.
Vanna reaches up to touch my face, coaxing me to lower myself to her. Our lips meet in an impassioned kiss, and I shift my body onto hers. Settling between her parted thighs, I’m ready and eager to make love to my wife, for the first of many times to come.
“Are you happy?” she asks.
“I’m so much more than happy, Vanna.” I breathe her name, because this perfect woman is like oxygen to me.
My life force…
My everything...
“I’m fuckin’ Aces, baby.”
The End
