“So inappropriate of me, I know! Oh my God, I’m so sorry!” She tried to stop laughing, but it was just no use. “I’m awful. My mother was right about me all along, but if you had just seen your face…” Her eyes watered as tears flowed, the laughing becoming worse and worse. She bent at the waist, cackling. “I was making the dressing, and I forgot that I ate a couple of the peppers. I didn’t even think about this, I mean, I wasn’t planning to give you a blowjob right away—not like that, anyway. It was just a spur of the moment thing.”

He has a hot sausage…

“Who in the hell goes around just eating peppers all willy-nilly, like potato chips?” She looked away. “Never mind, don’t even answer that. I just can’t believe you’ve been cutting up a fuckin’ trillion peppers and gobbling them down.”

“It was only two. Maybe four.”

“I doubt the quantity matters at this point. One was enough. I thought I was having an out of body experience, Felicity! I promise you that I died and came back! My soul left my body. Why didn’t ya just douse my dick with hot sauce, huh?! Would’ve been the same thing!”

This only caused her to laugh even harder.

“I was trying to turn you on…”

“Oh, you got me hot under the collar all right. I was so hot and bothered that I went into a coma, right before your eyes!”

Now, she could barely contain herself.

“As soon as you told me to stop, I dropped it like a hot potato!” she teased. He appeared far from amused.

He looked down at his dick. It, and he, looked so sad. The poor thing was a bit shriveled from the ice that had been placed upon it, and its color was drained. It had been through hell and back…

“The fire is out, but it feels… strange. I may have lost some nerve endings. This might be the end of the road. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to walk right anytime soon…” He leaned against the bathroom wall and closed his eyes, as if exasperated.

Oh, he’s got me in the hot seat now. I’m in hot water…

“Don’t be cross with me!” Hot cross buns. “I’m so embarrassed! But oh my God, your face… I’m sorry, Brett! I really am!” Now, she was laughing and crying so hard, everything was blurry. I wish I could turn my brain off, stop thinking these silly things, but I can’t! All she could see were his shoes as he stood there, silently judging her. “I better get out of here before you arrest me! The block… the block is hot!” she blurted out, sliding down the wall, hysterically laughing. “Do you know what that means, Brett?”

“I’m White, not an idiot. I know street slang, especially when it comes to my job. The block is hot means that there are police in the area. You really are a piece of work, Felicity.”

“Now, don’t go getting hot and cold on me. Accept my sincere apology, please! We were just getting hot ’nd heavy a minute ago, before this unfortunate situation arose. Things were getting good. As an officer, you’re supposed to be in hot pursuit!”

Now they both were laughing. He grabbed one of the hand towels, playfully hit her with it, and walked past her out of the restroom. Slowly. Moments later, she sought him out and found him in her bedroom, sitting on the edge of the bed removing his socks.

“Oh yeah, now we’re talking.” She reached for her shirt to take it off.

“Uh, don’t get any ideas. No way, no how. I think my dick is out of commission for the rest of the night. We’re just going to lie here, watch tv, drink a little wine, and cuddle. You were bad tonight. You hurt my johnson, and then you laughed. You’re cut off.” He chuckled in an evil sort of way as he got under the sheets, just as big, bad, and bold as he pleased.

“Cut off? Oh, come on, Brett! Don’t be that way about it. How long are you going to hold a grudge and punish me for this?”

“As long as it takes…” He smiled smugly as he reached for her remote, and settled against the headboard. “Now, go pour us some wine, and make a bowl of popcorn, too. I’ll call you by your new name.”

“And what’s that? Firestarter?”

“It sure as hell ain’t Coke. And it isn’t Pepsi. It’s good ol’ Dr. Pepper!”
