“Are you happy?” Ford asks me, and I nod as tears fill my eyes.
“So happy,” I say, and he misses the side of my head.
“So am I,” he states proudly. “I’m going to have someone take over my position. I will still be a part of the board, and go into the office once a month or so, but I want to be home with you guys more often,” he whispers, and I pull back to look at him.
“Are you sure? The company has been your brain child for half your life,” I whisper, and he chuckles.
“I’m more than sure, little rose. I want to be home more often. This is where my heart is. When I’m at the office, all I think about is being at home with you girls, and I’m really not needed in the office,” he says.
“Wow! Well, Merry Christmas to us, then.” I smile at him.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS TO US!” he screams and the girls follow suit, and my heart is filled with more love than I ever though possible.
Looking toward the sky, I send a silent message to my Dad.
