In response, he wedged his knee between my legs, pressing his firm body close, and I moaned, rocking against his hard cock. I was dizzy with wanting him, keeping one hand on his shoulder to anchor myself. He slid his hand along my thigh and pushed my underwear to the side, sliding a finger inside me.

My head fell back, and I saw white behind my closed eyelids as sparks crackled in my blood.

Feeling how wet I’d become at his touch, he chuckled softly and sucked on the skin under my jaw for just long enough that pleasure almost crossed the line into pain, but he pulled back just in time, laving the spot with his tongue. I relished the burn his mark had left and the heat and press of his long frame.

Teasingly, achingly slowly he stroked me, his mouth making up for it in hungry kisses. He came up for air long enough to roll me on top of him. Eyes hazy, he parted his dark, wet lips. “J’ai envie de toi,” he said in a husky voice and crashed his lips back to mine.

He could have just said he’d forgotten to pay his phone bill. Didn’t matter. Just say it in French. I mapped the planes of his chest with my hands, drifting lower and lower until I flicked open the snap of his jeans.

He kicked his pants and underwear off while fumbling at my dress.

“It unties,” I said, helping him.

“Next time wear something that slips off.”

“Uh-huh,” I squeaked, because he’d sucked one breast into his mouth, kneading the other one with very talented fingers.

If I could drown in an inch of water, could I drown in sensation? What would that look like?

“Stop thinking,” he growled, lightly tapping my head.

I gave him a saucy smile. “Make me.”

Laurent flipped me onto my back, pushing my dress off my shoulders while reaching under me to unclasp my bra, which he flung away. He straddled my legs, totally nude, his erection jutting out, and surveyed my body with a greedy look.

Feeling powerful and beautiful, I braced myself up on my elbows and sucked him into my mouth.

A groan tore from his lips, his eyes laser beams watching me. I grabbed his ass cheek, which flexed, and pulled him deeper.

Laurent allowed it for a few moments, his strong fingers threaded into my hair, then withdrew with a shake of his head. “I won’t last.” He leaned over and removed a condom from the bedside table but paused before ripping it open. “Keep touching yourself.” He placed my hand on my clit, starting the motion.

My cheeks flamed but I no longer knew if it was embarrassment or because I was burning up from the inside. My chest rose and fell in ragged breaths as I stroked myself, watching Laurent rip off the foil and roll the condom on.

He stretched out on top of me, my soft curves fitting to his hard ridges, pinned my free hand to the mattress above my head, and thrust inside, going still as if to absorb the moment.

I sucked in a breath.

His eyes, when they found mine, were clouded by a thread of concern. “Yes? Good?”

“Only if you fuck me right now,” I said through gritted teeth. I teetered on the brink of losing myself and I wanted desperately to fall.

He smirked.

“That’s not the correct response.” I bucked underneath him a couple of times. “Have you forgotten how it’s done?”

His eyes flashed, which sent me closer to exploding all the coiled desire inside me. “Are you taunting me?” he asked in a dangerous voice.

I scraped my teeth up his neck, before biting down on his earlobe. “Yes,” I whispered.

He snapped his hips, the force of his movement smacking the headboard against the wall. “Is this how you like it?” he purred. “Me fucking you into the mattress?”

I scrabbled at his shoulders, feeling my pulse everywhere our bodies connected. “Yes.”

Laurent lapsed into French and that sent me flying. My orgasm tore through me, Laurent following a moment later.

We lay there, his body still on top of mine and our foreheads pressed together. The hot air was heavy with the musky, salty smells of sex and sweat. He carefully got off me and headed into his bathroom where the water turned on.

I flung my arm over my eyes, unable to move, and quaking with aftershocks that I wasn’t certain were all physical, but before I could think too hard about that, a fan hummed on, cool air sweeping the room in waves. I scooted over on the bed to catch more of the breeze.
