Gideon put his phone on the hood of the SUV. “Clint’s sent me a blueprint of the house.”

Everybody bent low to see what he was showing, except for Simon, who first had to pull out a pair of reading glasses.

“There’s two sets of stairs,” Gideon pointed out. “This one will get you real close to Kendall’s suite, as opposed to the grand staircase.”

Kostya nodded. “Nolan, we’ll both take the back staircase. We’ll leave the front staircase for Simon and Ryker to clear out the guests if they’re in their rooms.”

Nolan nodded.

“Commander, here’s a side door that goes straight to the kitchen, which is where you and Ryker will probably find two of the staff.

“Ryker, I’ll take that side door, you go up the front staircase and hit the other two bedrooms on the front side of the mansion and try to clear out those guests if they’re in their rooms,” Simon ordered.

Ryker nodded.

“Commander, off the kitchen and down the hall is a room marked storeroom, but Clint points out that there are a lot of electronics that have been connected in there. I’m thinking that could be the office, and you might find more hotel staff there.”

“Got it.”

“You ready?” Gideon asked.

Everyone nodded and then put on their small comm devices and hid their guns under their jackets or they untucked their shirts so they could cover them as they tucked their pistols into their jeans or slacks.

Gideon looked at all the calm men and watched as they got back into the vehicles. This time he drove one and Jada sat in the passenger seat so they wouldn’t have to get out when they arrived at the B&B.

“You good, Angel?” he asked quietly as he started up the lead SUV.

“I want this over, Gideon,” she whispered back.

“It will be Jada. It will be.”
