“You. Definitely you. What happened?”

I tell her everything that I have experienced since I left the hospital yesterday; the dog pile with the guys, the looks from people that I didn’t know, the gossip that I did hear. She sat there with her hands in her lap and a blank look on her face the whole time.

“Wow… I get raped and everyone can only talk about you and the club. Way to steal the spotlight.”

My stomach drops like I am on a roller coaster and tears sting my eyes and nose.

“Sorry. Maybe it is too soon for jokes.”

“Don’t apologize, you have to deal with your stuff in your own way. But your comment did make me realize that while I made a spectacle of myself with the club yesterday, everyone should really be talking about what happened and how to avoid it happening again.”

“Have you heard anything from the dean or the school board? I’m sure they were thrilled to have the club on campus, and some of them are still hanging around. They must love it.”

She’s not wrong about that, I did see more than a few club members hanging around, my guess is that they are keeping an eye out for anyone that looks like they might be up to no good, or girls that look like they are too far gone. The dean hadn’t mentioned there being an issue but I’m sure they have one. I would like to see them try to do something about it though, they could call the police but that is easy enough to take care of.

“Speaking of the dean. He propositioned me, sex for him getting the school board to back off about expelling me.”

“Dude! What the hell! That’s gross! And illegal!” Her whole body shakes in disgust. The thought of getting on that man’s couch and letting him do whatever he wanted to keep me in school sets a whole new fire burning inside me. I told my dad to let the police handle it, but I don’t know if I want that at all anymore.

I wonder how many women he has done this to. How many have fallen into the trap that is his power and just let it happen so that they don’t get kicked out? There is a number of reasons a person would want to fight to stay in school but none of them are good enough to justify sleeping with him. Men that use their power to get anyone to sleep with them are scum, the ones that use a scare tactic to do it are even worse.

“It is, I called my dad as soon as I left his office. He is going to take care of it.”

“Good.”

Zoe and I sit on her bed and talk about random things, I hope that by acting like everything is normal will help her feel better. My insides quake a little when my phone rings and the sudden noise makes her jump.

“What?” I didn’t look at who it was before I bark at them.

“Hey. Don’t be mad at me. I did as you asked, and the police are on their way to get the dean.” Oh, hell yeah! This is something I have to see!

When I tell Zoe what I am going to see she gets out of bed and throws on a sundress and some sneakers. I am surprised that she is willing to go with me, then again part of what happened to her is the deans fault. He didn’t take the proper roads to make sure that things would be harder for the other girls, him going down is probably going to be satisfying.

We make it to the front of his building as the cops are leading him out. I don’t know how his wife knew to be there, but she walks out of the office with the cops, yelling and crying God knows what, I almost feel sorry for her. Do you think she knew that her husband was such a disgusting person? Surely, if he she knew she would have left him.

I watch on with glee when a single tear rolls down his cheek, it gets even better when I see that it’s officer Sal that has him in cuffs. When he sees me, he whispers something in the deans ear, whatever it was that he said made him mad. He starts to fight the officers and it gives them valid reason to shove him against the side of the car, roughly.

“I am pretty sure that he works for us now,” I whisper to Zoe as Sal shoves him into the car.

“You know, the more I know the more it looks like you are the one that’s running the Ghost Riders,” What is with everyone saying that? A woman cannot be president of the MC, it’s just unnatural. I believe that I can have just as much a say being Scar’s Ol’ lady as I could if I was the president, I don’t need to be the boss as long as I have the ear of the man in charge.

“You stupid bitch! You are going to pay for this!” The dean yells from the back of the cop car. I never did understand why they left the windows down like that, but now it is just feeding my entertainment. I wouldn’t have been able to hear him if the window was up.

I know that he is talking to me but no one else does and that makes it even better. I am almost laughing by the time that Sal gets in his car and pulls away.

“That was very entertaining. Thanks for the extra aggression at the end.”I type out the message to Sal as we walk back to the house, his response is quick.

“Your father told me what he did, I was more than happy to help.”

I would like to know how his partner feels about them working with the club, but the last few times that I have had interactions with Sal his partner has been missing. Obviously, he doesn’t have any issues with working with us, and I’m sure that it has been lucrative for his bank account too.

“I think we should talk a little bit more; I have something I want to run by you.” Zoe pulls me right to the stairs and up to her bedroom.

“Okay?” Our conversation had lulled into swapping stories from when we were children, but I told her about three for her one.

She shuts the door behind us and goes to her bedside table, after she opens the orange juice, she opens one of the pill bottles. When she climbs into the bed she winces.

“I just took a very strong pain killer; we have about half an hour before I pass out.” She gets comfortable and pats the bed beside her, after I join her, she continues. “I am dropping out. I haven’t decided if I am finishing the year, but right now I don’t think I am.”
