Not knowing exactly what she is doing here or how she wants me to act, I go with my well-rehearsed meeting introduction, “Miss Cartwright, please, sit down.” I gesture toward the chair opposite my own. “How can I help you today?”
She doesn’t follow my suggestion, instead she moves toward the black leather couch I have in the corner of my office, sits down and crosses her legs, showing off the heels she’s wearing.
Since when did high heels turn me on? Well, since about three minutes ago …
“I’m here to apply for a position,” she says, licking her full, seductive lips in their red armor.
“Position?” I ask. What position? Is she here about the accounting job Jared offered her?
I need to do something with my hands so I don’t walk over to her, lift her up and kiss her. So I pick up the opal instead, and run my fingers over the smooth surface, wishing it was her skin.
“If the position is still available?” she says, and this time she bites her bottom lip, trying to conceal her smile, and I recognize the mischief in her eyes.
“That depends on the candidate,” I reply, deciding to play her game, and walk over to her. Standing with my back to the view of the city, I wait for her reply.
“I’m here to apply for the position of your girlfriend,” she says. Her smile disappears, and the mischief of a few seconds ago is replaced by doubt.
“You want to be my girlfriend?” I hold my breath, nervous and hopeful for her answer, rubbing the opal as if it were a lucky rabbit’s foot.
“I want you to be my boyfriend, so yes, I want to be your girlfriend, Harrison.” Her voice is sharp, with a trace of irritation laced through her words.
“For that position you need to complete the full interview, Miss Cartwright,” I say, wanting her to sweat like she made me when she entered my office.
“What does that entail, exactly?”
If she licks her lips one more time, I’m going to combust.
“A kiss…” I start and watch her hike a perfect eyebrow.
“Just a kiss?” she asks, shifting forward on her seat.
“And a promise.”
Elle gets up and crosses the small space between us. “What do you want me to promise, champ?” she says, running a finger down my arm, then taking the opal from my tight grip.
“I always want a round two. A second chance. A do-over. Another kiss, another orgasm. Promise me a second round, angel, and I’ll be your boyfriend,” I say, finding my answer in her chocolate eyes, before she replies, “Always.”
My own smile takes over and I pull her closer just as she grabs the lapels of my suit and draws me in for a kiss.
Her mouth consumes me, her tongue chasing mine, laying claim to me. Her body moves flush with mine, causing my dick to harden.
My sinful angel is going to cause me to lose my fucking job.
Groping her ass, I stop her movements, wishing we could finish this here, but I want to take my time and love her thoroughly. Not just have a quick fuck on my desk.
“I know it’s going to be difficult … I’m not sure what your family is going to say, and honestly, I don’t care. As long as you want me by your side, that’s exactly where I’ll be,” I promise her.
“I don’t give a fuck about what anyone says, Harrison. This is my life, and I want you in it,” Elle says, making me the happiest man in New York City.
