“Sometimes it’s hard not to absorb all their problems. School days can be difficult to shake off.”

I kissed the top of her head as she leaned her cheek against my chest.

“I’ll make you forget the best that I can tonight.”

“Youaregood at making me forget a lot of things.” She lifted her head and dragged kisses along my jaw. “Pizza work for you?”

A moan escaped me as she ran her lips down my neck.

“Anything works as long as I can have more of those lips.”

I cupped the nape of her neck and hauled her to me. When I grazed my tongue along the seam of her lips, they opened on a soft moan. The kiss caught fire, and before I could blink, her shirt was off and both of us were fumbling with my belt buckle.

“I missed you so much,” I murmured against her lips and delved a hand into her hair. “You taste so damn good.”

She backed us up against the sink and popped the button of my pants open.

“We always end up here,” she said, her voice low and breathless.

“We do, although the bed has more room—shit, just like that.”

My cock pulsed in her hand with every slow stroke.

“The sink is special for us.” Her eyes stayed on mine, hazy and hooded, as she picked up the pace. “Sure, we could do this in a bed, but this seems a little more fun.”

I gasped when she dropped to her knees and took me in her mouth. I slammed my hand against the counter as she swirled her tongue around the tip, dragging kisses up and down my length before she swallowed me whole.

“Fuck, sweetheart. That mouth is so good.” I grabbed the back of her head as her nails dug into my ass. She whimpered around my cock when I wove my hand into her hair and pulled.

“Did I hurt you?” My hand stilled in her hair as I fought the urge to buck my hips against her face and fuck her beautiful mouth.

“No. More.” She buried her face between my legs until I poked the back of her throat.

I tapped her shoulder and tried to lean back when I was past the point of no return, but she only sucked harder until I spilled down her throat.

“I was supposed to make you forget your day.” I laughed, still chasing my breath. “Not have you obliterate my brain cells.”

Her eyes danced as she stood and pressed her lips to mine.

“You did. I love that I can make you that crazy.”

“You don’t know the half of it, sweetheart.” I cupped her cheek. “How about we have pizza and then stay in bed until my son texts me?”

“Perfect.” She dropped her head to my shoulder and wrapped her arms around my waist.

Every second of my time with Peyton was perfect, except for how soon it always had to end.

“Where did you tell Mike you were going tonight?” Peyton asked later as she lounged on the bed, my shirt so big on her it draped over one shoulder.

“Just out. He was more shocked I had somewhere to be other than home, waiting for him. I can’t blame him, since that’s all I’ve done since he moved in with me.”

“How do you think he’ll react? We have a good rapport in school and he’s sort of used to thinking of me as a family friend too, but I hope we don’t put him in a weird position.”

“I don’t think we will. But I was thinking about maybe meeting you somewhere. Pretending like we just ran into each other and have you spend a few hours with us. Get him used to you being around all the time.”

“Are you saying that I should get used to being around you all the time too?” She quirked a brow.

I rested my elbow on the bed and slid my other hand to the back of her neck.
