“What are you doing?”
He grinned back at her. “Selfie time.”
“Ooh, good idea.” How cool to have the waterfall in the background with her in front. Even cooler if he could be in the picture with her. She opened her camera app and handed him her phone. “Do you mind?”
“You want me in it?”
“Yeah, I want you in it.” She playfully shoved his shoulder. “It’s on account of you that I saw it.”
He extended his arm, holding it high above them so they were nicely framed against a backdrop of the falls.
“Say…chocolate!” he said as a joke, since she’d told him she didn’t eat it.
She started to protest his ribbing, then grinned. “Oooh—chocolate!”
Her phone buzzed with a text.
He glanced at it, and she snatched it back from him.
“Er…thanks!” Just in time, too. It was Charlotte again, sending a slew of love-y emojis. Misty was right behind her with kissy-face emojis and GIFs in reference to Nell’s pic of her in Grant’s boxers. Nell giggled and sent them the photo of her and Grant by the waterfall, which really was the cutest.
Charlotte and Misty immediately loved the pic.
Charlotte wrote:Sweet!
Misty said:Aww, congrats!
Nell remembered the camping story, figuring she’d better warn them.
If Grant asks about it, say that we go camping every year.
This time, Charlotte answered first.

Then, Misty chimed in.
In a tent? No thanks.
Nell frowned. She needed their help and not their judgment, which it seemed like she was getting anyway. They never thought she could do this, but yeah, she was. Misty claimed hot options, and Charlotte had men up her sleeve, but Nell had a beautiful rainbow and her rugged mountain man. She replied quickly, typing behind Grant’s head, intending to end this exchange on a high note, albeit an exaggerated one.
Maybe Grant and I can take you sometime. You know, after we’re MARRIED.

Okay, she was definitely getting way ahead of herself, and there were one too many “e”s and exclamation marks.
Whatever. She pushedsend. That ought to get her sisters thinking. Let them imagine whatever they wanted to. She and Grant might not be engaged, but things were going very smoothly. So maybe by the month’s end…
