“Alright, I will hear you out.”
The guy sagged against the chair, but his victory would be short-lived. There would not be any leaving this room, not for him anyway, and the one-time mercy option had expired.
“He-he spoke as if he knew you, and… he, mentioned something about the Golden Dragon’s.”
Arek sighed loudly. “Fine, I guess I can work with that. Now, who all did you tell about us and that you were coming here tonight?”
There was an inner turmoil in the man’s eyes. Trev had seen this enough to know that he was carefully weighing his options. If Trev was tied to the chair he’d be thinking that on the one hand, if he admitted no one else knew, he admitted that he didn’t have any backup looking for him, making him an easy mark. On the other hand, if he lied, he would eventually get caught in the lie, and where would that get him? He was pretty sure by the way his eyes flicked around the room that he was weighing these exact options.
“The family scattered when Alejandro died, but I wanted to keep the group going. Those here were all that I had left.” Lorena whimpered, his head falling in defeat. Trev almost felt sorry for him.
“Hence the drugs, money, and possibly blackmail information, yes?” Arek prompted.
He nodded. “Yes.”
Trev held his breath and braced against the pain as he stood once more. Arek didn’t pay him any attention. He was too caught up in the act he had created. Arek sat the blood-filled container on the counter and picked up one of the knives spinning it in his hand. Each step was agonizing, and yet he knew that whatever Arek had planned for this man would be far worse.
“Why are you holding a knife? I thought you’d let me go if I talked?” Like a wild animal, the man fought as Arek took his time stalking closer.
“I never said that. Did I say that?” Arek laid his hand on his chest and looked to Trev as he shuffled closer to the door.
Trev shook his head no. “I don’t recall you saying that, brother.”
“I didn’t think so. I mean, why did you think I called you Lorena?”
The man whimpered as Arek leaned on the arms of the chair. “I don’t know who that is.”
Arek’s grin would have stopped Satan in his tracks. “The famous Lorena cut her husband's dick off. She is a girl after my own heart.” Arek spun the sharp blade in his open palm, the metal glinting and reflecting off the walls.
Lorena’s lower lip trembled. “Please don’t do this. I talked—I gave you everything I know.”
“Here is the thing. We.” Arek tapped his chest and then pointed at Trev. “We were content to let the survivors of the Streetlores scurry into whatever hole was fitting, and we wouldn’t have bothered with any of you. Instead, you led your men into my home and shot it up like it was fucking Independence Day. Then your men proceeded to fire upon my son and pregnant fiancé, as well as a woman that is also like family to me. Not to mention at my injured brother and his prospective boyfriend. You know, the Ice Man?” Arek lifted a brow at Lorena. “No one puts what’s mine at risk.” Arek practically growled. “No one.”
“Please, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know, please. I’ll scurry as you put it, I’ll go wherever you want, you’ll never see me again.”
“Oh, I know you’re sorry, and you’re about to be a lot more so.” Arek cut Lorena’s belt, and the man yelped and tried to jerk away as that sharp knife cut through the material of his pants like butter. “I’m going to grip your pathetic excuse of a cock in my hand and pull it so hard that you are going to cry as it feels like it may just rip right off your body.” The man’s hips bucked around as Arek cut the boxers that lay beneath, exposing the flaccid and shriveled up cock that had been hiding behind the fabric. Trev was sure that if the man could, he would’ve sucked his dick and balls up into his body. “Then, I’m going to take this blade right here and ever so slowly, press it through the base of that cock. I’m going to let you sit like that, staring at the knife impaling your cock for however long I choose.” Arek ran the tip of the knife down Lorena’s stomach, another whimper leaving his lips. “A day maybe, or a week…how about a month? It should be good and festered with infection by then. I’m sure you’ll be begging me to cut it off just to end the pain if you haven’t already died. Then once I’m good and ready, I’ll slice that knife with agonizingly slow precision, through your useless cock until that fucker turns into two hotdogs for roasting or maybe the bun, but you get the idea.”
It was a single word, but he put as much authority into it as possible. “Arek.” His brother’s head snapped in his direction. “Come here.” Arek’s face twisted as he looked back and forth between prey and where he stood. Relinquishing, he straightened and cursed under his breath as he marched the few strides.
Trev grabbed Arek’s chin as soon as he was close enough and forced him to look into his eyes. “I don’t care what you do to him, but under no circumstance do you go back to your bedroom in this mental state.”
“I wouldn’t hurt Renee.” Arek’s eyes went wide.
“It doesn’t matter if you would or wouldn’t, don’t go to her like this. Go for a run, a swim in the pool, I don’t fucking care what you do, but you cool off and wash away this darkness before you head to that bedroom.”
“Trev,” Arek started, but Trev squeezed his brother’s chin harder.
“That’s an order.” He left no room for interpretation.
Arek slowly nodded, straightening his back at the command. “Yes, Sir.”
He released Arek and looked at the man in the chair. They were going to need some cleaners for this one. As Trev unlocked the door, Lorena began begging again in earnest. The annoying rave music was cranked up, spiking the throbbing in his head. Just before the click of the door, Trev heard the beginnings of the screams resume.
Maybe it’s not my soul you should have been looking out for, Mel.
Nope, Cody couldn’t sleep, not after spending a few hours in Trev’s bed, and especially after that attack on the house. He’d heard Trev make his way past his door over an hour ago, and he wondered if he would be asleep by now.
Did he sleep naked?
