“Let’s get out of here.” I whisper against her ear. She nods, grabbing my arm.
“Skye! Javelynn! It’s getting hot in here.” They stop dancing and I spot Graham behind Skye.
“Hey.” I tilt my chin up at our house’s temperamental chef. He could throw around as much attitude as he wanted for the type of meals he created. Fuck, if he turned into Gordon Ramsey himself, I’m sure we’d all just eat in gratitude. He returns the gesture of the chin tilt and drinks from his beer, still dancing against Skye.
“We’re going to head out.” Salem tells her friends, waving goodbye as she drags me through the crowd. I grab my jacket deciding to come back for my equipment later. I know the owner will keep it safe. As soon as we’re outside, we’re hit with a cool wind that smells like sea. The air does nothing to quell this fiery need that’s blazing inside me with one thought in mind. I want to take Salem back to my room and make her mine, but then I remember that stupid fucking party.
I slip my hand into Salem’s amazed at how well it fits and pull her towards the docks with the intention of taking her for a walk.
“I don’t want to go back just yet.” She falls into step next to me, with a wince.
“What’s the matter?”
“It’s just… these shoes are a little tight. I lost most of my things in the fire and I’ve been borrowing clothes from Skye and Javelynn to make sure I’m not walking around campus naked.”
“That would be a travesty. Well, Bambi, how do you feel about riding on the back of my motorcycle?”
Her whole face lights up. “I parked over here.”
“Wildcat, and now Bambi?”
“You’re walking like a newborn deer.” She rolls her eyes then lets out a gasp as she spots my bike.
“How have I not seen this?” She runs her fingers over the sleek exterior.
“You like it?” A smile plays at the corner of her lips. I hand her my helmet and watch as she locks it beneath her chin. “Damn, that looks good on you. Put this on too.” I hold my jacket out for her to slip her arms through. It dwarves her, but looks so fucking hot on her voluptuous frame.
I hike my leg and straddle my bike. “Hop on.”
She looks down at her dress contemplating, before she says, “Fuck it.” She sits herself behind me, her dress riding up her thighs as she buries herself into my back, her slim hands wrap around my middle. I reach behind me, placing my hand on her thigh.
“Hold on tight, wildcat.” I bring the engine to life, the vibrations working through my body and hers. I feel her clench her thighs tightly as I peel out of the parking lot.
The wind whips at my face as I take the road into town. We pass the rival bar, that’s not as busy as Diablo’s. There are several stores dotting what’s considered the downtown. All closed at this time of night. The gas station and a few restaurants are still open, the lights looking fuzzy in the mild fog.
The sound of my motorcycle eats up the quiet with a steady rumble. It’s a relatively small island with a road that wraps around the entirety, and I decide to follow it. We dip into the dense forest, passing the scattered dwellings of the locals. This view during a clear day is beautiful, but at night there’s a sense of danger, and knowing what I do about what lies in a cave not far off I’d say that’s an accurate assessment. I mean the town is literally named Possession, as are the beaches and caves around here. I was just too stupid to see it for what it was, following along with what my family wanted for me.
I take the turns up and around the hills easily with Salem gripping me tightly. We pass through the school gates, the lights still on in a bunch of the dorms and the library.
When I pull into the house’s gravel road, I take care to keep the bike steady. I pull off to the small stable that serves as a carport and park the bike.
She grips me for a moment longer, lingering and it shoots a dart of desire down to my cock.
Salem gets off the bike and removes the helmet, her hair falling around her face with a hint of static. I tuck her hair behind her ear and her eyes lock onto mine. They’re filled with the same heat that I feel coursing through my veins. Fuck.
“I didn’t even notice this was over here.” She says gesturing at the crude building around us. It’d been gutted for those of us who had transportation on the island. Mostly people walked everywhere, but it was convenient for when you wanted to take the ferry down to Seattle or another island nearby. I can hear that the party is still in full swing. I grab onto Salem’s hand, and she rests her head on my arm, her legs still wobbly.
“Need me to carry you?”
“Nah, I can manage.” She says. I spin her into me as we lean against my bike, my hands digging into her hips.
“I had fun tonight.”
She bites her lip, pressing her body into mine. Her legs are slightly parted, making room for mine to sit directly between them. I move my hands down cupping her full ass, pressing her into me where I want most. I shove down my worries and focus on this. Us. Her. The way she feels against me.
“Walker.” Her lips part, and I don’t hesitate. I lean down, taking those luscious lips with mine. I groan into her mouth as she weaves her fingers up into my wind-blown hair. She breaks the kiss and gives me the widest smile that hits me right in the stomach.
I tuck her against my side, my fingers weaving into hers as we walk up the path to the house. It’s there that I spot Pierce and Lukas sitting on the steps both with a drink in their hands.
