He chuckled, palmed her bare ass. “That, sweetheart, is a closely guarded secret.”

“Is that so?” She gave him that smile, the one that made his pulse skip, and began to kiss and caress him, her breasts swaying enticingly as she moved. “I have ways of making you talk.”

“Show me.” He couldn’t resist fondling her, his cock half hard again.

Eden teased him to fullness with tongue and hand before taking him into her mouth again. But this time she tormented him, driving him mad, bringing him to the brink of orgasm again and again only to stop and make him wait.

He moaned in frustration, his cock aching, one hand fisted in the sheets, the other in her hair. “Okay. You’ve got it. I’ll tell you, you cruel woman. It’s all in the lips. I just treat your clit like a nipple.”

She stared at him as if amazed. “Really?”

“Really.”

She sat up, reached into the top drawer of her nightstand, and took something out—a condom. She tore it open with her teeth, rolled it down his length, and straddled him, taking him slowly inside her. “And the truth shall get you laid.”

Sean might have laughed, but she began to move, riding him, the erotic motions of her hips carrying them both over the edge once more.

Afterwards, they lay together, arms around each other, bodies languid as the fever of sex cooled into drowsiness.

Then Eden spoke in a sleepy voice. “Should we send Dalton an email?”

Sean laughed and drew her closer. “To hell with Dalton.”

Soon, they were both fast asleep.

June 14

Eden woketo Sean’s kisses, warmth sliding through her as she remembered last night. “Is it morning already?”

“It’s only five. Go back to sleep. I need to report for duty by six.”

She moaned in protest and rolled over to face him. “Can’t you just call in and tell Captain Walcott I want you to stay in my bed all day?”

Sean chuckled, the sound warm. “I don’t think he’d take that well.”

“Probably not.” Eden got up with Sean, slipped on her bathrobe, and admired his ass before he drew up his boxers. “Damn. I like that view.”

He grinned. “Don’t worry. You’ll see it again.”

“I hope so.” She walked with him to the front door. “Are you sure I can’t make you a cup of coffee or a quick breakfast?”

He slipped into his jacket, then drew her into his arms. “No need. I’ll grab something at the cafeteria.”

She looked up at him. “Be safe today, okay?”

“You, too. Please don’t go anywhere by yourself.”

“I won’t.”

He leaned down, kissed her. “I really hate to go.”

“I hate it, too.”

“I’ll see you tomorrow.” He opened the door, and she watched him walk down the steps, dawn turning the overcast sky pink.

Eden waited until he’d driven away then walked back to her bedroom, memories of last night making her smile. The sex had beensogood, her body still glowing. But more than that, Sean had opened up, let himself be vulnerable with her about Justin’s death and the guilt he’d been carrying. He’d been honest and unguarded, and that meant everything to her.
