CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
Natalia
As Natalia slowly woke up the next morning, she stretched across the bed and noticed straight away that Taredd was no longer in the bed with her. She would've thought that last night had all been a dream if her body didn't tell her otherwise.
Feeling a pang of hurt that Taredd wasn't still in bed with her, she tried not to let it bother her, but she failed. When Natalia sat up, she half expected him to be seated in the chair once again, smiling at her as if he hadn't moved an inch since she fell asleep, but he wasn't there either.
Fighting back the tears that threatened to spill, Natalia pulled the blankets up around herself. There was no way in hell she was going to let herself cry over a man, let alone a Demon, no matter how much he'd hurt her feelings.
Giving herself a mental slap, Natalia was about to climb out of bed when someone started banging on the door.
She shouted "One minute."
But before she had a chance to stand up and put some clothes on, the door came crashing down as two Demons that looked similar to Taredd rushed into the room. Beelining it for her, Natalia didn't stand a chance against them as they viscously pulled her up out of bed and dragged her across the room, over the broken door and into the corridor.
"Help!" Natalia screamed at the top of her voice, but before any help could come to aid her, one of the Demons punched her hard in the face, knocking her out cold.
